The Rays just keep on winning, beating the Tigers today 6-5 in extra innings. This team is playing very well right now, taking full advantage of their favorable schedule. They finish up their homestand with a 3-game series with the Indians starting tomorrow, then they head to Seattle to start a 10-game road trip. Here's hoping they can keep it up and play well away from home...

It's going to be tough unless we start hitting with RISP.

Good News: Baldelli is making his season debut today.

Bad News: Because CC has been placed on the DL.

How long is CC gonna be out???

Looks like CC might miss the remainder of the season.

Rays are rumored to be looking at Gary Sheffield. As long as we don't give up too much I say go for it!

SOB! Longoria is on the DL now.

Carl Crawford could miss the rest of the regular season with a finger injury that will require surgery.

Tampa Bay announced Tuesday that Crawford, the first of two major parts of the Rays offense to get hurt last week, will be out anywhere from 6-8 weeks.

The low end of that estimate would have him back for the last week of the regular season.

"Its a fairly simple procedure, but its something that, the downside was too great if we didnt go ahead and get it taken care of now," said executive VP Andrew Friedman. "Were fairly optimistic that hell be able to return in six weeks, but well know a lot more once hes a couple weeks into the recovery."

Longo looks to be back in a few weeks. We just have to hold on until then.:icon_sad:

If Longoria can be back for the Sept stretch run, they'll be okay, but in the meantime, the Rays still need an outfielder with a big bat to make up for C.C.....

Hopefully Rocco can come up big for us. All of our AAA prospects that are ready are infielders.

David Price is making a start tonight for AAA Durham. Hopefully he will breeze though that game and be called up to help us out.

You're not at the game right now???

Can't get it on ESPN - it's weird, because I can only watch it on Directv MLB Mix channel, so the screen is really tiny...:icon_thumleft:
