I just can't get up for this card. I'm looking forward to 2 fights....the Kenny Florian-Joe Stevenson one and Nate Quarry-Damien Maia. That's it, I couldn't care less about the rest. UFC92 on the other hand:shock: Holy crap what a card!

I'm without doubt boycotting this one. This whole Lesnar/Couture thing is a joke, makes the sport look like a joke, and I refuse to support Dana's giving us joke fights simply in order to line his pockets. Make Lesnar start low and work his way up to being a legitimate contender just like everyone else, then give him a shot at a belt or a guy like Couture. If I was a UFC Heavy contender or young guy trying to become one, I would have lost all respect for Dana and the UFC title process as a result of this.
How is Randy even the HWC right now? Didn't he retire?

He tried to retire, but Dana wouldn't let him out of his contract.

I'm afraid the Fertitta's are getting too greedy.

They were smart for buying the franchise, but now they are allowing Dana (or requiring him) to make them so much money that the sport may become a joke.

HH is right. He wanted to leave but he finnaly came back

Couture came back because the UFC has most of the big name guys in the buisness. I doubt their relationship is all roses now.

No, he came back because he was forced to by Dana DD.

I thought it went to court, was their ever a decision reached or did Randy just come back on his own?

From what I've read, it became a bunch of legal stalemates where Randy couldn't make any headway at getting out of his contract legally. Dana/Fertitas basically had him by the hooks. If Randy wants to fight, he's got to finish his deal etc.

UFC 91 COUNTDOWN: LESNAR vs COUTURE is on TONIGHT @ 11pm EST on Spike TV.

I hope Randy Wins this because Brock Lesnar was in line for the title shot but he passed Farbricio and Fabricio got matched againts a Jobber to win but he lost.

It's all about the $$$ CP, right or wrong Brock brought his own fanbase with him to the UFC and Dana couldn't pass it up to headline him.

You give all the info but the date. When is dis>?

DD, that fanbase would watch a Brock vs Gabriel Gonzaga fight right now too. Dana wanted the quick/fast payday and in so doing lost any respect he had in terms of giving guys shots who've earned it. Dana is a businessman, but he needs to say that first and foremost before anything else.

Oh, I agree with you a 100% Garnett......Brock in no way deserved to walk in and get the special treatment he recieved. You're probably right about Brock's fans to but I think Dana felt maybe he could make a bigger splash by getting him huge fights quick......which like you said basically removed 99% of the credibility I had for him.

Garnett. The Lesnar Gonzaga fight would be crazy.

If Lesnar wins this it will still be tainted IMO.

I'm just worried that the UFC is pushing this sport much too fast since the explosion in popularity brought about by TUF.

Should have grown the sport at a steady rate, and kept it under control.

Right on HH....especially considering the turn the economy has taken.
