Wait. How is praying in public forcing it on anyone?

If I want to pray in McDonald's before I eat my big mac.. Tough titty

And if my kid wants to say a prayer at school, tough titty. I would tell my kid to do what's right and if the school punishes her then we can take that to court after I first go get arrested for tearing them all new assholes. This crap has got me pissed.. How are y'all not furious? The schools are pushing the liberal agenda down our kids throats and taking away our American rights.. This is BS!

Something tells me if it was a little Hindu kid trying to practice his religion in your kids school you wouldn't be as upset. I'd even bet you would be on the opposite side of the argument.

I never said it was. I was referring to "bullying". And much more about the killing of others that don't agree with ones beliefs.

I believe in freedom of religion, thought, and individualism.

    No. U r not correct.

So long as my kid or some other kid isn't interrupting class or endangering others they are free to say grace... Meditate or whatever their practice calls for.

my kid is 10. If she wants to pray before she eats, then she can pray before she eats. she isnt hurting anyone else. we teach tolerance, except for those who are christians.

me, i dont give a freak about your god, his god, whoevers god, but dont chastise my daughter for doing something that isnt hurting someone else

what rights are being taken away ? was somebody prosecuted for praying in school or over a freedom of speech issue that i missed ?

to me i agree that anyone should be allowed to pray/say grace if it does not interfere with the school day or force another religion's belief system on you. on the filp side nobody sbould be forced to say the pledge of allegience or anything else that goes against their own beliefs.
