Ever year at the NFL’s owners meetings Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano has made a point of issuing some kind of verbal challenge to Paul Soliai. Tony Sparano says Paul Soliai's franchise tag comes with responsibilities. In past years the challenge usually centered on how talented the nose tackle was, but how he needed to improve his work ethic and conditioning, and become more of a professional if he wanted to be counted on. Soliai finally answered the call, turning in a productive 2010 season that earned him the Dolphins’ franchise tag, and the one-year, $12.47 million contract that comes with it. But Sparano’s not backing off. At this point the stakes are tooooooo high. According to Sparano, that franchise tag and the lofty salary Soliai received comes with PLENTY of responsibility. “In the situation he’s in he needs to play well. When someone puts that tag on you it comes with a responsibility,â€￾ Sparano said. “His responsibility has increased.â€￾
