Asked whether he thought quarterback Brett Favre could absorb the kind of pounding he took from the Saints in the NFC Championship Game, coach Brad Childress said: "He knows there somewhere he's going to get knocked on his keister. That's going to happen. As long as we're doing it in the spirit of the rules, he's all good with it and I'm all good with it. In terms of not doing it that way, hey, everybody talks about hitting the quarterback. Let's just hit him the right way." Asked then if he thought the Saints unduly punished Favre in that game, Childress said: "In my opinion, yeah." Source: Kevin Seifert, ESPN.com
Umm its football... OMG BTW BRETT FARVE IS AT BURGER KING!!! HES GETTING A DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER OMG OMG OMG!!!!
Why don't they just run Brett Favre out there with a bra and panties because if he's not man enough to play the game, then he should dress appropriately.
To be fair, there was at least one late hit in the previous game against the Saints. But they certainly hit him hard and within the rules on the other hits on Favre.
As a Saints player, I'd hit Favre harder now. My lack of respect of Childress has just gotten deeper. He sounds like a snitch.
do you seriously think that a 100 year old QB with a bum ankle who just started practicing with his team 3 weeks before playing the Champs on opening night is going to crap on them.....ROFL the only crapting on the Saints favre will be doing is when his depends spring a leak
-shakes head- Really? I do agree, this would only make ME want to him him harder if I were playin' on the Saints. Hell, hopefully if they hit him hard enough..he will ACTUALLY retire this time, and we can quit watching the media kiss his butt.
