ben has been playing out of his freaking mind and the oline has done well. i dont epect much at all from mendenhall. peterson is banged up and wont do much anyway....harvin is hurtin pretty bad. only player on their offense that truly worries me at this point is shiancoe and im not kidding. troy or timmons need to be on him all day, the TE has killed us this year
what do we say about the vikings if they win again at the last minute? do we call them lucky or destined?
This is a tough game to pick. I know to never go against the Steelers in a pick-em cause it normally ends up screwing me. But I have to think that Minnesota's defense is going to torment the Steelers just enough to squeak out a win. I am calling a 35-31 Vikings win.
I think there will be a lot of passing in this game, and Steelers are much better equipped to shut down the Vikings receivers. But sometimes when good offenses and good defense meet, the offenses take over in the fourth quarter and explode, but I don't think the Vikings are capable of explosions, but they will get their bubble burst 34-24.
Steelers run defense isn't as bad as people think without Smith...they'll hold AD in check. Force Favre to beat them with the pass and force him into errors... Steelers will take this game at home and start to roll...
I had the steelies winning, but I changed my mind when I heard that troy was limited and might not play if not play that much. Troy is not the Steelers only weapon on defense of course but he is a symbol to the defense, almost like a reassurance. When you go into a game against another big team, you want that reassurance and without it, morale tends to slip a little. Not saying pitt is out of the game or wont win it, I think they should do a good job but I think they wont have that extra spark on the field. Might just be me but I know what its like going into something big and not having that thing that gets you pumped. If he does play at 100% I think the steelers have a really good chance at pulling a win
Troy is starting and playing all game, he may opt to wear the brace this game which will really slow his mobility. It won't be the same Troy out there regardless, but his presence alone helps.
