Pros: The best Complete LBing prospect in this draft. Terror off the edge. Fast off the snap and can beat OT with speed and with power. Great Hand punch. Great speed. Complete linebacker with great instincts. Smart player who takes correct angles. can play through injury. Pretty good in coverage. Scheme versatile can play both 3-4 and 4-3. Cons: Needs to add about 10-15 pounds to maintain his effectiveness. Needs to learn a new pass rush move and not really on speed as much. Inconsistent against the run. When I watch Von Miller play I see a true football player. A player whos smart and has a high motor. He looks like he has fun playing the game and it almost looks effortless. If he can maintain his speed and add 10-15 pounds he will be a beast. Hes durable and can play through injury. He has already played 3-4 OLB and he excelled at it so he shouldnt have a hard time transitioning to the NFL 3-4 should he get drafted by a 3-4 team. He also showed that he is not a liability in coverage. NFL Comparison: Elvis Dummerville( a 3-4 pass rush specialist whos adequate in coverage)
I like him, but I would rather have Quinn. I think Quinn has the talent to be an elite rusher, whereas I think Miller will be a Suggs type
i just dont like the idea of Quinn dropping into coverage i think he will be pretty bad at it but i really want to see him at the combine before i review him
except he never did it he played on the line with a hand in the dirt not standing up thats why im not going to write a report for him until i see him at the combine in LB drills Yes hes athletic enough to do but thats different then actually going out and doing it
