Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh still has done nothing to impress Warren Sapp, a former standout defensive lineman with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sapp unleashed his routine criticism of Suh's lack of development when asked about the third-year pro during the NFL Network's brunch during Super Bowl Media Day. As usual, Sapp's main beef with Suh is his lack of growth or development. "The thing that I look at, and I've said it before, (San Francisco 49ers quarterback) Alex Smith comes to your stadium, rolls his arms, and they're running the ball at you the first play," Sapp said. "Sam Bradford (St. Louis Rams) comes in and they're running 'Wham' against you. Wait a minute. You don't realize this is a problem. Who the hell is the d-line coach? What do y'all work on all week long? I don't get it." Sapp said his constant criticism of Suh is nothing personal, but honest observations as a former player who could be voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend. "That's what kids these days want to say (it's personal)," Sapp said. "Whenever somebody don't agree with how they're playing or what they've done, it's hate, and it has to be personal. Last time I checked, I played that three-technique pretty well, right? Defensive tackle position, I played that pretty well. What I'm doing now is I'm an analyst. I don't get to watch somebody that is playing my position? I don't think I've said anything about his accident, any of that stuff. I didn't even say anything about him stepping on a man Thanksgiving's in a row. Kicking a man two Thanksgiving's in a row. I didn't say anything about it because it's going to come out. "What I'm doing is looking at his technique, and I'm seeing the same blind dog in the meat house that plays the two-technique, the three, the one, no matter where it is. Until he evolves, it has nothing to do with him personally." Source: MLive.com
Nowadays can't criticize any one even when it's constructive. Thay always have to make it personal to deflect from them selves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
2 comments that are very true. whether you like sapp or not, he's right. suh's technique has always been poor. he's just living off his physical ability and not getting any better. part of that may be suh's attitude problem and part of it may be crapty coaching. it's probably both and i agree with sapp's assessment.
This is true but he said it's not personal and that he didn't say anything about him kicking and stepping on a guy on Thanksgiving and yet he did just by bringing it up.
Maybe Suh should be working on his technique instead of jumping in a pool with Katherine Webb. Wait what am I saying?? Cannonballl!!!!!!!!
warren sapp talking to suh about being a dirty player is really a case of the pot calling the kettle black. i think suh is a lot cleaner and better player than sapp ever was!
