no they weren't fine. they were in a dome. there was no reason not letting henry boom those kicks like minnys kicker did. kelly played scared and it backfired. the entir coaching staff was outcoached from start to finish. yes i see them beating the bears easily. this was the classic trap game.
'Beating the Bears easily'... You have far more faith in this team than I do. It was a classic trap game, but there was no way the coaches could've looked completely past them with AD on their roster. Plenty of blame to go around. Foles made some terrible throws, guys dropped easy passes, bad coaching decisions, penalties everywhere... just a crapshow.
maybe i do have too much faith in them but i see shady getting the ball often and the eagles getting an early big lead that they wont give up. no doubt though that this week was a crapshow with tons of blame to go around. btw - game ball this week goes out to tony romo.
I watched that game. Idle question. When was the last time you saw a starting QB in an NFL game get a 15-yard penalty for a personal foul for throwing a crack back block? I've never seen that before.
I dont remember either. The worst part is jackson was already clear of the defender. Its a call the refs have to make though.
After looking at the playoff bracket, it's a little tough to think about what would be best for us. If the season ended today, we would play the 49ers first. If we won that game, we would go to Seattle. However, if we lose to the Bears and beat the Cowboys, we would play the Panthers, and would likely play the Saints in the next round. I'd rather play the Panthers over the 49ers, and honestly I'd rather play in Seattle than the Saints dome. I know I'm counting my chickens before they hatch and we still need to take care of business to win the division, just thinking ahead a little.
