Our first “wow†moment of Monday’s defensive line workouts at the NFL Scouting Combine came when the unofficial 40-yard dash time for West Virginia’s Bruce Irvin flashed across the screen. 4.43 seconds? For a guy who’s 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds? If it somehow stands, that’s right behind Robert Griffin III’s 4.41 and faster than a pair of speedy RBs in Oregon’s LaMichael James and San Diego State’s Ronnie Hillman (4.45).

more of a one trick pony pass rusher but that certainly didnt hurt him, that speed is unreal for a guy that size

a 40-time doesn't necessarily measure explosiveness. did they show his 10-yard time?

if you want to talk about a ridiculous 40 time, just watch Dontari Poe eat babies at the combine....6-4 350, 44 reps, and 4.87 40...faster than 3 TEs.
