I had never bought tickets for an event so much in advance. Lots of things can happen in a year...starting with them breaking up again. That's why I made sure to get the insurance this time as those tickets weren't cheap at all.
It took me 25 years but I finally got to see Green Day live and it was AWESOME. My only complain is that it was a 90 minute set (because it was a festival) and they focused too much on Dookie and American Idiot, but it was fine. It was a fine age test for the people around me (if they sang the AI songs but not the Dookie ones they're too young lol). I have no voice. I had never sang or screamed so loud. It was beautiful. Now I can die in peace. (I had to take the Tre one off the screen because my 30x zoom was too unstable XD)
Awesome. Glad you had a good time, TJ. I saw them in a small venue decades ago before they really broke out. They were very good live.
Here's a little SportsChump tribute to Sly and the Family Stone, boys. Enjoy! Ima Miss Sly (A Thank You) - Sports Chump
Ozzy Osborne, Prince of F**ing Darkness passed away at the age of 76. Just two weeks ago he gave his last concert...he did it sitting down because he couldn't stand up for long anymore. In his honor I'm dusting off my old Black Sabbath CDs and listening all week. Rest in peace, Prince of Darkness :(
