Hell no, Desean is one of the top recievers he is gonna be a monster

Hardy. He's the only guy basically stepping into a starting job off the bat, so that right there is going to increase his production over guys like Sweed who have very capable recievers ahead of them and will likely only see the field in 3/4 WR sets. He's also got the size to be able to push around corners out the gates and win some jump balls. DeSean Jackson is not going to do much as a reciever this season, if ever. He's too small and slight to make immediate impact at the NFL level as a reciever, ala Ted Ginn only less physical. Kelly and Thomas are going to be fighting for catches in a crowded Washington WR corps. So yeah, biggest rookie numbers from a WR goes to Hardy. Long-term I think one if not both of the Washington guys will be better, but not this year.

I agree that Hardy is the logical pick here also. I kinda hope it's Sweed but then again....if Holmes and Ward are doing well then Sweed won't get the touches. So Hardy is the best choice.

Jackson won't be higher than 4th either.

All hes gonna be catching this year is punts.

I am hoping for Sweed all the way but like everyone else is saying....the Steelers have alot of weapons for WR so who knows how much he will see the ball.

Exactly. Except that he has a very good shot at becoming the #3 on the team and will see plenty of time in the slot. But other than that, you nailed it.

as a number 3 on the eagles means hes a #5 cause westbrook gets the first look and then its a toss up between brown, curtis and smith....jackson is gonna have a very hard time making himself into anything because he is just so tiny...you say steve smiths name, hes nothing like steve smith, steve smith is 5-9 but hes beefy and plays like hes 9 feet tall.

sweed will not get many looks this year, holmes is our #1, nate is our #2 and ward is our slot guy...ward is gonna get alot of catches and then theres heath and memo that will take alot of grabs...unless sweed really shows something he wont play much this year especially since nate has tightened his game up and has become a much more polished WR and is fast as heck...sweed has his work cut out for him if hes gonna make an impact this year but who knows, maybe ben will cry until he gets his 6-4 WR on the field so he doesnt have to "throw down" to everyone....who freaking knows lol im just typing at this point what the hell is brett favre up to tonight

There is no way you can compare Steve Smith and DeSean Jackson, even physically. Smith might be short, but he's definitely not small, if you know what I mean, and he DEFINITELY doesn't play small. DeSean is a pure and simple speed guy...I'm a Cal fan, I'm from the Bay and watched most Cal games last year. His route-running needs work and I can pretty much guarantee he is going to have problems with the physical play at this level. He never seemed to have problems going over the middle in college, I'll give him that, but he was NOT hard to bring down, even for smaller college DB's. He defenitely isn't a contact-first guy like Smith was early on. He lives on his speed.
IMO, Lavelle Hawkins has a better chance of a successful NFL career as a wideout than DeSean as far as Cal wideouts go. DeSean is gonna be a demon on returns, but never much of a wideout. Watch.

Gotta go with a homer pick as well sweed will have a great year I was really leaning towards mendenhall but since he wasn't mentioned sweed.I would of said hardy but i think we have more weapons on offense then the bills so forget about double teams. Ben will be able to spread it around alot more this year hes been wanting a big target now he has it and he will use it well!

sweed was looking very smooth out there the other night.

Sweed looked VERY good on Friday. James Hardy also looked good the other night...

I still think it's going to be Hardy over Sweed because of all the "other" options Ben has in Pittsburgh. But here's to hoping I'm wrong!!!!!
