Boldin imo. Then Calvin Johnson, Then T.O, then Hines Ward. [T.O.] That's not even a homer choice, just if we had a QB that could get him the ball, he'd have his catches, he's got as many td's as most WR's, I just love the fact of WR's that can block.
driver, boldin, ward or brandon marshal. boldin and mashal are freaks and make huge plays. driver and ward becaause they play the game the way it should be.
if andre johnson had a QB like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady his freaking numbers would be mythical i think
LMFAO. Same thing with Randy Moss, as they will be next year if Brady comes back healthy. Randy Moss for me would be my first WR chosen period if I had to start a new team. Say what you want about him, but the guy is going to go down in history with the second if not first best stats of any WR in history. The only thing that maybe hurts his chances of catching Rice is that Brady got hurt this season and getting traded to the Raiders.
Joke of a list. Some good names, but a LOT of bad ones. Here's why I think Andre Johnson is SO much better than Steve Smith, Randy Moss, and Terrell Owens. He puts up outstanding numbers with NO QUARTERBACK. Steve Smith was great in '06 and this year when he has Jake Delhomme, but last year when he had to rely on Matt Moore, Vinny Testaverde, and David Carr, he sucked. Randy Moss breaks records in '07, but this year without Brady, his numbers have gone WAY down (even though it's understandable that he wouldn't top or equal last year's insane numbers, even with Brady, but still). Terrell Owens is great when Romo's out there, but when he has to deal with Brad Johnson, he turns into a crybaby. Meanwhile, Andre Johnson has David Carr, Matt Schaub, and Sage Rosenfels and still is ridiculous. The same could be said about Calvin Johnson (who by the way isn't even on the list), who's had Jon Kitna, Dan Orlovsky, Daunte Culpepper, and Drew Stanton at QB. Jennings has a LOT of talent. He definitely belongs in the discussion, but he's only had 1 really good season (not counting this year). Same with Marshall, Johnson, and White. These dudes ARE amazing, but I prefer to give the title of BEST RECEIVER IN THE NFL to someone who's put up pro-bowl numbers year in and year out. So let's trim this list a bit, shall we? 11. Hines Ward 10 Terrell Owens 9. Randy Moss 8. Plaxico Burress 6. Santana Moss 5. Reggie Wayne 4. Steve Smith 2. Larry Fitzgerald 1. Andre Johnson Ward SO shouldn't be on here; I mean who really thinks he's better than like Johnson, Fitz, Boldin (also not on this list :icon_rolleyes: , but if you honestly think he's better than Fitz based on the stats you're on crack), Wayne, etc. I didn't see "of all-time" in the thread title, so for the reasons I stated above, let's chop off Smith, Moss and Owens. Remember, only ONE can be THE BEST. 8. Plaxico Burress 6. Santana Moss 5. Reggie Wayne 2. Larry Fitzgerald 1. Andre Johnson Moss also only had one or two great years and is too inconsistent, and Burress is a crybaby who doesn't always put up good numbers (1 catch yesterday). 5. Reggie Wayne 2. Larry Fitzgerald 1. Andre Johnson This is what it comes down to. Wayne has had Peyton Manning all these years, and while I don't like to say I player is less talented because of the talent of the players around him, I'm taking Wayne off because of that, sort of. The Colts have had one of the most feared offenses in the NFL over the past few years, and teams were double-covering Marvin Harrison, allowing Wayne to see more production. AGAIN, when I'm taking these guys off, it sounds like I'm calling them overrated; I'm really not. I just have to get it down to one and I still realize how amazing these players truely are. 2. Larry Fitzgerald 1. Andre Johnson Oh crap. I have no idea. Now let's see. Both incredible receivers with freakish talent. Both good sports and neither troublemakers or whiners. Johnson's had Carr, Schaub, and Rosenfels, while Fitzgerald has had Josh McCown, Matt Leinart and Kurt Warner. Main difference is that Fitzgerald has Anquan Boldin on the other side, while Johnson has Kevin Walter. Let's compare stats: In 79 career games, Johnson has 438 receptions for 5,704 yards, an average of 13 yards per catch, with 28 touchdowns. In 68 career games, Fitzgerald has 379 receptions for 5,286 yards, an average of 13.9 yards per catch, with 39 touchdowns. All things considered, my answer to the question of "Who Is The Best WR In The NFL?" is... ANDRE JOHNSON. oh btw my pro-bowl picks for this position are as follows: AFC: Andre Johnson Reggie Wayne T.J. Houshmandzadeh Brandon Marshall NFC: Larry Fitzgerald Roddy White Calvin Johnson Greg Jennings
i cant believe ward even gets consideration, thats a joke...i like him as a player and we are a better team because of him but hes not that great of a pure wide receiver, hes a clutch player and does alot of little things better than most but hes not the best WR on his team let alone top 10 in the league. andre johnson is more talented than randy moss imo, andre johnson has a great attitude to go with it. randy moss looked like god with brady throwing to him, but johnson would put those numbers to shame imo, he would be putting up big numbers with cassel too....something moss isnt doing. im not really seeing much love for reggie wayne who even when we were making this list 3 years ago and harrison was involved i had wayne over harrison and people thought that was stupid, no doubt back then harrison got alot more looks because he was peytons favorite target and friend, but since day one wayne has been the more talented WR. my top 10 is like this Andre johnson Calvin Johnson-might be a reach at the moment but hes gonna be great Boldin- I have always thought he was better than fitz, most dont agree Randy Moss Reggie Wayne Fitz Plax...could be so much higher Roddy White....its funny to look back at what a failure he was with vick throwing to him TO brandon marshall
HAHAHAHAHAHHA!! I stopped reading when you wrote that. You should have put it at the very top so I didn't waste my time reading the rest. You obviously have no idea what your talking about.
