RAW Results for 4/17 Vince McMahon came out to start the show. He said the question is if he will go to hell. He noted that he may have offended Shane in a small way last week, and so he very well might have offended other people in a large way. Wrong. You have to go pretty far to elicit moral outrage now that everyone sees you as among the sleaziest human beings in the world, Vince. He said he won't be going to hell, because he was already in hell earlier in the day: East St. Louis. Vince announced he is founding his own religion, McMahonism, where he is the lord, master and god of all sports entertainment, and you will worship him. Vince showed a bunch of pictures meant for comedy. He was on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. He was carrying down his copy of Muscle and Fitness like the Ten Commandments. He was at the Last Supper. He was with Buddha, and then the Pope. These initially got some laughs, and then a boring chant broke out. Vince opened the doors to his church and invited people to convert to McMahonism. He vowed to make Shawn Michaels worship at his feet at Backlash, and again dared God to strike him down. Vince guaranteed victory at Backlash, and then Shawn Michaels came in with sweet chin music. Michaels did another pronounced crotch chop that the announcers mentioned. Backstage, HHH suggested Vince lay off the God stuff, so an angry Vince made Edge & John Cena vs. Triple H. An angry Rob Conway in the ring promised to change his losing ways, but then Kane came out. Kane destroyed Rob Conway with the choke slam. Kane actually got a bigger face reaction than he has in a while, which was odd. Kane started yelling at Lillian Garcia after the match, thinking she said something about May 19. He grabbed her by the throat for the choke slam, but Big Show came out looking like the world's biggest slob to calm him down. Kane grabbed Show by the throat, but this time Show gave him the choke slam. Kane sat up and grinned. Jonathan Coachman did the ring announcing from this point on. Chavo Guerrero, Jr. did an interview with Jim Ross. He said he may have acted hastily in retiring, but he made a promise and let everyone down, so he concluded it was the right decision. Ross said that's a drastic decision and asked if Eddie would approve. Chavo said they supported each other's decisions. All he ever trained to do was wrestle, but maybe he isn't good enough and it wasn't meant to be. He suggested he could try to become a real estate broker. Ross said it was only one loss, and Eddie might not approve of Chavo quitting the family business. Chavo said he feels he made the decision, and his wrestling career has come to an end. Charlie Haas beat Shelton Benjamin. The stipulation was that if Benjamin beat an opponent of RVD's choosing, he would get a shot at Money in the Bank at Backlash, but if Benjamin lost, he would have to put his Intercontinental Title on the line at that event. Haas came in with arm drags, a drop kick, and a clothesline off the top. He hit chops, and went for a sunset flip that was countered into a back breaker. Benjamin hit a clothesline, threw Haas into the steps, and used a body slam on the floor. Joey Styles labeled this a great sports entertainment contest. Coach and Lawler continued by talking about having no idea where Haas has been, and of course Styles played dumb on that as well. Haas retaliated with a back drop, clotheslines and knees. He missed a drop kick, and Benjamin hit a belly-to-back suplex. He hit rolling thunder, laughing at RVD. Benjamin hit a stinger splash and spin kick. He teased the frog splash, but instead missed a senton off the top and Haas won with a jackknife cradle. Armando Alejandro Estrada said he converted to McMahonism and wanted to make a donation to the church of Umaga vs. Shawn Michaels. Vince made the match. Shelton Benjamin came to Vince as well, and said he saw the light of McMahonism. He said only Vince could save one of his disciples from not having a chance at Money in the Bank. Vince said he could do something about it. Shawn Michaels beat Umaga via disqualification. Vince McMahon came to ringside for the match. Umaga used a clothesline and gave Michaels a stiff kick to the floor. He hit chops, head butts and a knee drop. Michaels came back with punches and a pair of flying forearms to knock Umaga off his feet. He hit the elbow off the top and was going for sweet chin music when both Armando and Vince grabbed his legs. Umaga came from behind, threw him into the corner, tied him to the tree of woe, and head butted and punched Michaels until the referee disqualified him. He jammed Michaels in the throat with his thumb. Vince told Umaga and Armando to leave, and said he would finish Shawn himself. He tied Shawn to the ropes and went to bring a chair into the ring, but fireworks shot out of the ring posts when he tried to enter. Vince panicked and left back to the entrance. He started to come back when the fireworks went off and set a fire on the stage. Matt Striker had a classroom set up, and he was horrified with the state of schools in America. He said people are more concerned with being cool than being smart, and gave the audience an F. Carlito came out, getting more of a face reaction this week. Carlito said that Striker took his apple, and Carlito was one of the kids in school that thought it was more important to be cool. He said he used to get lectured and sent to detention, until he spit an apple in the teacher's face and became the coolest guy on the island. He was ready to spit apple in Striker's face, but Striker threatened to give him a beating. Carlito did it anyway and beat up Striker until Masters came in and applied the Masterlock. Spirit Squad beat Rob Van Dam in a very quick five-on-one match to earn Benjamin a shot at Money in the Bank at Backlash. RVD fought them off for a little while until the numbers proved to be too much. They hit the High Spirits and Kenny Doane hit the leg drop off the top for the win. Trish, pretending to be Mickie, had a present under a box for Mickie, pretending to be Trish. it was Trish's former boyfriend Jack tied up. He said both of them are crazy. Trish said if Mickie is Trish, she would care about Jack, and if she is really Mickie, she will realize she doesn't care about him and isn't Trish. Mickie did the only thing she could in response. She screamed at Trish to get her hands off her boyfriend, and ran into the ring to attack. Trish gave Mickie a spine buster and left. Mickie apologized to Jack and comforted him, but then concluded he cheated on her and kicked him in the head. This was seriously the funniest thing on Raw in ages. HHH and Edge spoke backstage. Edge said that he would pin HHH later in the evening. HHH said John Cena wouldn't let that happen, and would stab Edge in the back. HHH said he hates Cena a whole lot more than he hates Edge. He added that Edge has great reasons to hate Cena as well, given Cena took his title and Edge hasn't done anything about it. John Cena and Edge beat HHH. John Cena once again got the Cena reaction. HHH jumped him from behind and stomped him and punched him. Cena came back with a suplex, but HHH retaliated with punches, a crotch chop, and a knee drop. Cena got the momentum back with a shoulder block and clotheslines. He went for the five knuckle shuffle, but HHH gave him a spinebuster. Edge tagged in and knocked Cena to the floor. HHH punched Edge, gave him a spine buster, and a clothesline. Edge hit a spinning heel kick but Cena came in and attacked him with clotheslines and a belly to belly suplex. HHH went for the pedigree on Cena, but Cena got out and went for the FU. HHH sent Cena into the referee. He brought a sledgehammer into the ring and hit Cena in the head with it, but Edge speared HHH and pinned him

RAW Results for 4/24: Edge is out first and harps on about having beaten Cena and HHH already. HHH comes interupts to a HUGE pop. He's SO over. HHH spends a while talking about how Edge's title reign didn't last very long, and makes several jokes about his performance in the bedroom. Cena came out to thunderous boo's and went for HHH, bit of a brawl before Edge and HHH bail and out come the Spirit Squad. I wish they'd talk in time with eachother. No idea what they said but we have a 5 on 3 handicap match for later apparently. During the Ad break Matt Striker talks to Maria backstage and does the usual heel interview. 6 man tag now. Masters, Striker and Shelton Benjamin versus Carlito, Charlie Hass and RVD. Good match live with a couple of cool spots. RVD pinned Shelton clean with the 5 star frog splash. Maria came out to do Kiss Cam in the break, which was quite good fun. One guy proposed to his girlfriend. Biggest pop went to the 2 girls that really went for it. Kane and Big Show had a fight backstage. Vince and Shane cut a promo backstage about acts of God and Shawn Michaels. Diva Bikini contest between Candice, Torrie, Maria and Victoria and hosted by Coach was next. Candice won apparently, although the crowd wanted Maria. Afterwards Coach said the prize was a chance to make out with him. Candice didn't look too pleased and out came Viscera. He beat up Coach and did his usual rape act, then left with Candice. Crowd didn't seem to care. During the break Coach said he'd had enough and left, which will probably make the rest of the show much easier to watch on TV. Shane vs HBK next. Decent match, Shane missed a moonsault and Shawn did his comeback thing before Vince stopped the superkick. Shawn set Vince up on the announce table and teased the elbow off the top rope before Shane stopped him. They hit him with the ring bell and Shane did his own elbow off the top rope onto Shawn and through the announce table. Crowd loved it. Vince then got on the mic and said Shawn had "no chance in hell" at backlash. Lots of Backlash promos on the screen and some backstage stuff of no importance was followed by Umaga def. Steve Lewington. Quick match followed by a run-in by Ric Flair, who got a great reception. The screen then announced a match between the two at Backlash. Spirit Squad did a backstage promo about David Beckham and the Spice Girls, before HHH ran into Lita. He asked her for advice on how to take on 5 guys at once. More cheers and laughs from the crowd for Uber-heel HHH! Mickie James came out and said she didn't want to be like Trish any more and she was just gonna be herself. Trish came out as Mickie, wound her up and then attacked her. Mickie looked confused and annoyed. Segment died live. Main event time. Good match, HHH and Edge kept tagging each other with hard slaps to the chest. Cena took a beating to cheers from the fans and made the hot tag to that heel HHH again. Crowd went nuts. It got a bit confusing to watch from there on in. Edge did a lot of standing around. In the end HHH and Cena did their finishers at the same time on 2 members of the Spirit Squad for the double pin, before getting into a brawl of their own. Edge speared HHH and Cena FU'd Edge to close the show as the last man standing.
Anyone else notice how hevily edited Cena's entrance was last night? You could totally tell how much they turned down the crowds booing and how they pumped up his music and the announcers...I thought that was sad, especially since his WTF? look at WM while he was being booed.
reason they did that edit, is because RAW was taped in London last weekend. i wanted to wait til the end of the show to post the results. i already knew what happend, but i didn't want to spoil it for everyone here.
I know, I just thought it was funny of how much they have edited out the crowd's reaction to Cena lately. Much like they did for Lesner vs Goldburg, remember that mess?
RAW Preview for 5/1 from WWE.com: The Champ is still here as Monday Night RAW heads into Columbus, Ohio tonight. Last night at Backlash, John Cena pinned Triple H to win the Triple Threat Match and retain the WWE Championship. However, when the match was over, The Game grabbed his sledgehammer, attacking Cena, Edge and even referee Mickie Hensen. A bloodied Cerebral Assassin stood tall as Cena and Edge lay in the ring; will The Champ have anything to say about the attack tonight? As first reported on WWE's new Mobile Alert system, Edge will also be speaking his mind tonight on RAW, as the Cutting Edge returns with special guest Mick Foley. With their Hardcore Match at WrestleMania 22 still fresh on both men's minds, what will Foley have to say and what will happen? Mr. McMahon is coming off a huge victory at Backlash, as The Spirit Squad helped the WWE Chairman and his son Shane defeat Shawn Michaels and "God" in a No-Disqualification Match. As also first reported on WWE's new Mobile Alert system, Mr. McMahon will make a huge announcement tonight on RAW. What will it be? Also last night, Rob Van Dam defeated Shelton Benjamin to become the Intercontinental Champion. Find out all this and more on RAW tonight at 9pm et, 8pm ct on the USA Network.
Re: WWE Raw Previews & Results Styles said everything that every smark wrestling fan has been saying the past few years. I'm sure he was glad he got to speak his mind as well, given the criticism he's endured the past few months.
i thought that was a great pomo by styles. RAW Results for 5/1 Vince McMahon announced that like God, he was going to take a night off, and make the Spirit Squad GMs for the night. Remember when he was just there to hire a new general manager? He's like the South American military leader that says he is coming in to reinstall democracy but instead becomes an unwanted dictator. In any event, the Squad drew spirit straws, and Kenny won, earning him a title shot against John Cena in the main event. They are not very bright. Why not just make a six pack challenge for the title? They also showed Backlash highlights really frequently throughout the show. Well, highlights is probably the wrong word. Actually, they hit just about every lowlight on the show. Maria and Torrie Wilson beat Mickie James and Victoria. They were all dressed in cheerleader outfits, which I enjoyed more than I should have. Torrie gave Victoria the stink face, and Maria gave Mickie the bronco buster. At that point it became very hard to pan the match. Trish ran in and grabbed Mickie's leg as she went to suplex Maria into the ring. Maria collapsed on top of Mickie and scored the win. Mickie later went for revenge on Maria during the Kiss Cam segment. Nicky, Johnny and Mikey beat tEugene, Goldust and Gene Snitsky. The Squad worked over Eugene. He hit Rock Bottom and made the hot tag to Snitsky. Squad quickly gained back control and Johnny hit a spin kick on Eugene for the pin. The crowd was dead for this, shock of all shocks. The interviewer was instructed backstage to ask Eugene how it felt to lose, which was pretty funny. Eugene said Eric Bischoff taught him one lesson, to never quit. Then he thought about it and realized Bischoff did try to get him to quit and was a real jerk. He gloated about still having a job. Matt Striker then attacked him with a dictionary. The highlight was Eugene selling the beating by remarking ow. Spirit Squad confronted Shawn Michaels backstage. They were very happy about their plan. They gave him the night off as a wrestler, but made him referee for Kane vs. Rob Conway. Worse, he had to wear a shirt that said May 19. Styles said this was brilliant. You know what would have been brilliant? Put him in a singles match with Kane if you dislike him so much. Hell, make him wear the t-shirt in that. Shockingly, the Squad's plan didn't work out. Shawn Michaels pulled a Reggie Evans on Rob Conway before the match, and put the May 19 shirt on him. Throughout the match he kept waiving May 19 in Kane's face and laughing, and somehow this made Kane angry at Conway. I wonder if Shawn wrote May 19 on a piece of cardboard and kept waiving it in Kane's face whether Kane would attack the cardboard and drop elbows on it while leaving Michaels alone. In any event, Michaels was joking around, again teasing DX. He brought a garbage can into the ring, and Kane hit Conway with it and gave him the choke slam. Kane left, but Michaels got on the mic and said May 19 a bunch of times. Kane came back to the ring, and concluded somehow that the guy speaking in Michaels' voice was not Michaels, but actually the unconscious Conway. So he scooped up the unconscious Conway, gave him the tombstone and pinned him. Umaga beat Rory Fox. Armando spoke some Spanish before the match. He should really avoid doing so, because his accent is awful and people will quickly catch onto the fact he's of Palestinian heritage. Umaga hit a splash off the top and the thumb to the throat for the win. Backstage, Vince McMahon was cuddling with Candice Michelle, who said she had Labiagitis. Vince asked if that was acute, and she said it is cute. They started making out. HHH came in, and made a joke about McMahon getting an erection. HHH and Vince then got into a discussion/subtle argument, where they teased dissension between the two. Vince wanted him to be special referee for the main event. HHH wanted a future title shot if Kenny won, but Vince basically told him to or else. Mick Foley was the guest on the Cutting Edge. Edge said he still has a claim to the title since Cena pinned HHH. He said he doesn't get any respect, and added his win at Mania was tarnished by Joey Styles' commentary. Mick Foley came out and said he hasn't forgot the Mania match. At first he wanted to figure out what went wrong, but realized things went right. He said it might have been the greatest hardcore match of his career and in history. He called Edge the toughest SOB in WWE, shook his hand, shook Lita's hand and gave Lita a kiss on the cheek. He said he got his defining Mania moment, and showed Edge's face after spearing Foley through the flaming table. Foley said that moment was realizing Edge would never be the same. Edge would never want to go through that again, while Foley does. Foley challenged him to a rematch right there. Edge said You're on. He continued, You're on crack. Edge said he would take on Foley in any match he wants next week. Foley threatened to cut him open with barbed wire, razor wire and thumbtacks. So apparently they are meeting in some stipulation match next week on Raw. Chris Masters said he has proven he's superior to Carlito, because Carlito needed to cheat to beat him. Rob Van Dam came out for a Masterlock Challenge, but Benjamin ran in and attacked him when the Masterlock was applied. Carlito made the save with a chair, so Spirit Squad made a tag match. Rob Van Dam and Carlito beat Chris Masters and Shelton Benjamin. They cut away from this match as well for Vince and Candice backstage, but given what Vince was doing with Candice, it was not unwelcome at all. Spirit Squad gave Styles a note during this match, so he left. The heels worked over RVD, including a power slam by Benjamin. RVD came back with a spinning heel kick and made the tag to Carlito. Carlito came in with punches, a back body drop, a springboard elbow and a drop kick. Benjamin hit him with a crescent kick, but RVD hit Benjamin with a kick off the top. Masters went for the press slam on Masters, but received the back cracker instead. Benjamin went to bring in a chair, but Charlie Haas took it away and Carlito rolled up Benjamin with the tights for the pin. This wasn't as good as it should have been. Spirit Squad backstage told Joey Styles he was doing a bad job. He had a lack of spirit, and was giving off negative energy. The Squad said if he didn't do a better job he would have to wear a female cheerleader's outfit. Jerry Lawler was amused when Styles came back, and started mocking him. Lawler said he should show some enthusiasm, and he would do so if this were ECW. Styles responded, If this were ECW, I wouldn't be working with a hat like you. That got a big reaction from the crowd. Styles got pissed off. He shoved Lawler twice and slapped him. This was great. Lawler called him a little idiot and shoved him to the ground. Styles left to ECW chants. Lawler apologized after the break to Styles, and asked him to come back out. Styles came out, and proceeded to cut an awesome promo. He said he would show why for seven years in ECW he was the loose cannon of commentary. Styles said that six months ago, WWE called him because they had humiliated and fired Jim Ross. So he got Ross' spot, and from week one got a lecture on the difference between professional wrestling and sports entertainment. He isn't allowed to say wrestler or wrestling, only sports entertainment and superstars. He is told to deliberately ignore the moves and holds, when that is damn insulting to wrestlers. Because he is not sports entertainment, he gets pulled from WrestleMania for Jim Ross, the guy he was hired to replace in the first place. Then he is pulled from Backlash. In ECW he called live PPVs solo, but now he is not good enough to call Backlash because he's not a sports entertainment storyteller. He said he is sick of sports entertainment, male cheerleaders, boogers, bathroom humor, semen and Vince McMahon, who mocks God to feed his own ego. Amen. Furthermore, he's sick of fans who buy into that crap. Double amen. That got boos, and the crowd treated it as a heel turn. He said he never needed his job, and doesn't want it. I quit, he concluded. John Cena beat Nicky Doane. Cena controlled the match early with an elbow drop, punches and a suplex. He went for the FU, but HHH punched him. The Spirit Squad then beat on Cena for the rest of the match, but HHH was always really slow and lazy to count. Kenny eventually got furious and shoved HHH. HHH punched him back, gave Mitch a pedigree, and left. As he was leaving, Shawn Michaels came out with a referee shirt, and they stared at each other for a while. Kenny hit a leg drop off the top on Cena, and Michaels went to count but stopped counting at two. Kenny went crazy. Michaels gave him sweet chin music and a crotch chop. Michaels and Cena cleared the ring, and Cena gave Kenny the FU for the pin.
Re: WWE Raw Previews & Results Joey Styles shoot on RAW: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPWv_6A7VtE]STYLES[/ame] The best part is, he actually wrote it himself and not the creative team. You can tell because it's actually poignant and good.
