RAW Results for 5/23/11 - Rose Garden Arena - Portland, Oregon David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty won the tag team titles from Kane and Big Show Jack Swagger beat Evan Bourne in a complete squash Miz and Alex Riley made their way to the ring. Miz said Riley is the reason Miz didn’t win the title at Over the Limit. Miz accused Riley of constantly screwing up. He then asked the GM for another title shot. The GM denied him that shot and said he is done with Cena. Miz blamed Riley. Riley replied that he didn’t say I quit. Miz said Riley’s nothing without him. Miz said he gave Riley a million chances and Riley has been a constant disappointment. He tore Riley apart, fired Riley, and shoved Riley. Riley finally responded by punching Miz. They launched into a big brawl in suits all around ringside. Riley tore apart Miz’s suit and got the best of it. The crowd cheered Riley as he left Miz lying Eve Torres, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix versus the Bella twins, Melina and Maryse ended in a no contest. The match had just started when Kharma came out. All the women stood together and surrounded Kharma when she came in the ring. So Kharma dropped to her knees, acted scared, and started crying. Kofi Kingston beat Drew McIntyre. They cut to the announce table where Jerry Lawler put over Randy Savage big and introduced a video package on Savage.. Rey Mysterio and John Cena beat CM Punk and R. Truth. Punk was wearing cool Randy Savage tribute attire. It had the same basic color scheme and stars as Savage’s outfit at WrestleMania III For detailed results, go here
The segment with Big Show being hit, attended too..was horrible. As was the segment with the "day dream" sequence with Obama giving his press conference about the upcoming PPV.
They never mentioned it. They had Michael Cole apologize. King got a few cheap shots, comment-wise..in. Cole then joined Matthews and King at ringside, and they .. basically killed the beef there. My guess is that next week..or soon, Josh Matthews will go back to smackdown alone..and it will be COle and King again.
Me thinks after long hours of thinking the GM is either Triple H or Stephanie McMahon. Or that other mcMahon kid. But I really think it'd be awesome if it was Triple H
RAW Results for 5/30/11 - Qwest Center - Omaha, Nebraska Dolph Ziggler beat Kofi Kingston Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres beat the Bellas Michael Cole in the ring defended Alex Riley being fired by Miz. He then criticized the Raw GM for re-signing Riley. Wasn’t Riley signed to Smackdown? Cole called out Riley and reprimanded him for turning on Miz. Cole said Miz was like a father to Riley and that Miz is emotionally scarred by the betrayal. Cole kept ranting and raving until Riley told him to shut up. Riley called Cole annoying and arrogant like Miz. Cole responded by calling Riley a bastard. Riley threw Cole down and then grabbed him by the neck, at which point Miz attacked Riley from behind. A brawl ensued with Miz initially getting the best of it. He kept yelling at Riley that he made Riley. Riley then made his comeback and beat up Miz around ringside. Miz ran off through the crowd. CM Punk beat Rey Mysterio Kharma in the ring said she had two childhood dreams. The first was to be a WWE wrestler. She tried out for the second season of Tough Enough but Jim Ross said she was too fat to be a WWE female wrestler. So she went to Japan and scrubbed floors in exchange for learning how to wrestle. She went to wrestling promotions in every corner of the world until finally her dream came true and she joined WWE. Kharma then said her other dream was to be a mother and she will be because she is currently pregnant. She said that she can’t compete and risk the health of her child, but she will be back. She thanked the fans for letting her follow her dream. Kharma did a great job here and the promo was very well received by the audience. The Bellas then came out. They made fun of Kharma for being fat. They congratulated her for finding a guy to hook up with. They mocked her for being unable to respond physically. Kharma teased going after them and they panicked. Kharma said she hopes they are still here when she comes back because now she has a new dream. Evan Bourne beat Jack Swagger R. Santino Marella beat Michael McGillicutty Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly beat the Bellas Rey Mysterio beat CM Punk Kofi Kingston beat Zack Ryder Booker T beat Jack Swagger via count out R. Truth and Miz beat John Cena and Alex Riley via disqualification when the GM then announced Cena and Riley were disqualified for Austin’s actions. Another big win for Truth over Cena. The choices for Brie’s opponent were Kelly with 53 percent of the vote, Beth Phoenix with 36 percent and Eve Torres with 11 percent. Mason Ryan beat Evan Bourne. The choices for Bourne’s opponent were Ryan with 51 percent, Sin Cara with 30 percent and Jack Swagger with 19 percent Kane beat Mark Henry in an arm wrestling match via DQ. The fans selected an arm wrestling match with 52 percent of the vote instead of an over the top match at 35 percent or body slam challenge at 13 percent Kofi Kingston beat Dolph Ziggler via DQ in a 2 of 3 falls match. 2 of 3 falls got 51 percent of the vote, Vickie Guerrero banned from ringside 31 percent and submission match 18 percent. They announced Raw Roulette next week and that Shawn Michaels will be on the show. Plus, it will be two hours rather than three. These are positives all around. CM Punk beat Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio in a triple threat falls count anywhere match to become number one contender. This was a great match, better than anything on the PPV last night and one of the better WWE TV matches of the year. Falls count anywhere got 66 percent of the vote, no disqualifications got 23 percent of the vote, and submission match got 11 percent of the vote. Daniel Bryan beat Cody Rhodes in a no count out match. No count outs got 51 percent, a paper bag match 43 percent and collegiate rules 6 percent. Michael Cole won a dance competition over Vickie Guerrero. Cole got 47 percent of the vote compared to 39 percent for Lawler and 14 percent for Booker Randy Orton, John Cena and Alex Riley beat Miz, R. Truth and Christian in an elimination match. Alex Riley vs. The Miz is also announced. John Cena comes out and says Punk has been stripped of the match at MITB. Cena says they are going to act as if Punk never existed in WWE. Cena isn’t happy with what happened but says Punk has a right to say what he wants. Cena wants answers from Vince McMahon and wants them tonight and he wants Punk at the pay-per-view. Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres beat The Bella Twins. R-Truth is backstage upset about having to compete in a #1 contender’s match tonight. Alberto Del Rio appears and tells Truth that it’s his destiny. David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty beat Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov. Zack Ryder appeared on the stage after the match, did the woo woo you know it and left. Backstage interview with The Miz upset about not being in the #1 contender’s match tonight. Jack Swagger beat Sgt. Slaughter. Swagger put the ankle lock on after the match until Evan Bourne made the save. Slaughter led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance for the 4th of July. Alberto Del Rio beat R-Truth and Rey Mysterio by making Rey submit to become the new #1 contender to the WWE Title. Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler are having a Fourth of July party in the ring since he is the United States Champion. Vickie wants everyone to sing Happy Birthday to Dolph but they don’t so Vickie sings to Dolph. Dolph says that he is the best superstar and he is in his prime. Dolph says that as long as he is the United States Champion, it is the only title that matters. Kofi Kingston comes out to the ring and he says that without Vickie in his corner, Dolph cannot beat him. Dolph tells Kofi that he is at a higher level than Kofi and that Kofi should leave his party. Vickie gets pushed into the birthday cake and then Kofi and Dolph brawl. Alex Riley beat The Miz with a roll up. After the match, Miz got mad and attacked Riley, beat him down and hit him with the ring steps. Miz then threw Riley into the announcer’s table, kicked him in the face and left. Vince McMahon comes out and talks about CM Punk, saying he deserved to be suspended. John Cena comes out and asks Vince if Punk got under his skin. Cena wants answers. Vince couldn’t risk Punk taking the WWE Title to another company. Vince told Cena to not be like Hulk Hogan and be a man. Vince says it doesn’t matter what anyone wants, CM Punk is gone. Cena says if he can’t wrestle Punk, then he’s gone and hands Vince the belt. Vince stops him and says here Cena is walking out on him like everyone else has. Vince reinstates Punk but if Cena loses at Money in the Bank, he’s fired.
