Finlay b Misterio clean. it went about 15:00. Seriously top stuff. Misterio blows a spring board from the ropes and then gets caught with the EF for the win. Misterio walks away.

Kennedy b Lawrence Tyler with his Samoan Drop finish. He did pre-match talking Tyler up and said he had a major announcement. Post match he called for Long and then did a tease of wanting Cena. He said he may go to RAW to do it. Long said that Kennedy hadn't beaten everyone on Smack Down! and would fight Undertaker at No Mercy.

Kendrick/London/Massaro b McCool-Alexander/James/Stevens. Hot stuff with Kendrick & London. Kendrick pinned James with a sunset flip/Dropsault combo. Basically, a modified version of the finish with the Highlanders on RAW only involving the girls and no Haas doing a suplex.

Lashley b William Regal with the Oklahoma Stampede. Vito did commentary. Regal did pre-match mic work talking about the match the week before. Regal said he'd refuse to wrestle Vito again and would be facing a real gentleman.

The Miz b Matt Hardy with a roll-up holding the tights after Helms knocked Hardy from the top.

Vickie Guerrero was introduced as Chavo's new business manager. She did mike work and was booed. Chavo b Tatanka with a frog splash clean.

Teddy was in the back with MVP. MVP said he wanted Cena money. Long said something that no one heard but the crowd went "oooooooh" for. MVP said Long would regret it.

King Booker T b Batista when Finlay hit Batista with the shilleleigh. Regal did a run in through the crowd with knux and got stopped on the outside. Sharmell tried to toss in a chair. While the ref was dealing with the chair and Sharmell, Finlay came out and whacked Batista over the head with the shilleleigh. Finlay then destroyed Batista after the fall with the weapon, then rammed him into multiple exposed turnbuckles.

Fit Finlay came to the ring with the midget under a sheet. He said he humbled Batista last week and we'd never see him again. Bobby Lashley made his way to the ring, followed by Teddy Long, who announced the two would face off in a number one contenders match for No Mercy later on in the show. Lashley pushed Finlay on top of the midget, and the midget attacked Finlay because he couldn't see out of the sheet.

After the break, William Regal asked Finlay what would happen if he wound up facing the king they loved at No Mercy.

WWE CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH - Gregory Helms def. Matt Hardy - Hardy ran through the crowd and attacked Helms from behind. Probably the best match on the show.

The Miz def. Scotty Too Hotty - Horrible match with a few missed spots. The finish was similar to a Honky Tonk Man shake, rattle and roll, only without the shake and rattle.

Brian Kendrick def. Kid Kash & Idol Stevens - Ashley came out with Kendrick and Paul London. Not a bad match, but nothing has been done to establish any of the three teams to the point where fans would have an interest in them.

WWE US TITLE MATCH Mr. Kennedy def. Rey Mysterio - Finish saw Mysterio go for a springboard off the middle rope only to see Chavo & Vicki Guerrero and Rey's son Dominick at the entrance way. Kennedy rolled up Mysterio for the win.

MVP cut a promo backstage about how his agent is bending over backwards trying to work out a contract with Teddy Long.

Vito def. Sir William Regal - Regal was introduced as a Sir. Another brutal match, finish was an attempted sunset flip from Regal from outside the ring but Vito held onto the ropes and pinned up with Regal's face up his dress.

Sylvester Terkay def. Handsome Johnny via submission

Bobby Lashley def. Fit Finlay to face Booker T at No Mercy - Another nothing of a match. Crowd went back and forth from chanting "this match sucks" to "Yankees suck." Booker T, Sharmell and William Regal joined JBL and Michael Cole on commentary. The three joined Finlay in beating down Lashley after the win. Batista charged the ring in street clothes, followed by a ton of referees and officials. Finaly ran back into the ring and rolled out the other corner then to the back as the officials tried to block Batista.

King Booker and Sharmell are in Teddy Long's office and Booker doesn't want to face Vito. Teddy tells him that Vito has voluntarily stepped aside and that his new opponent tonight in the main event is The Undertaker. Booker is not happy with that.

Batista and Lashley vs. Finlay and Sir William Regal - Batista & Lashley win when Lashley pins Regal after a spear while Batista and Finlay were fighting outside the ring.

2006 Diva search winner Layla El comes to the ring and does a stupid dance and then welcomes us to the season premiere of Smackdown on the CW network. Krystal interrupts her and starts a catfight. Pointless segment.

Gregory Helms vs. Matt Hardy in a WWE Cruiserweight Non-Title match - Matt Hardy beat Helms after a kick to the groin while the referee was distracted.

The Miz vs. Funaki - The Miz cut a promo putting himself over before the match and did the hoo-rah thing. The Miz beat Funaki with his swinging neckbreaker finisher in a short match.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio said that Chavo and Vicky raped his soul but life goes on and tonight is the first day of the rest of his life.

Chavo with Vicky Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio - It wasn't clear if it was a streetfight or a no DQ match but they fought outside the ring and in the crowd for a while and after a few minutes two extra referees came to the ring and the match was stopped for no obvious reason.

Triple Threat match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: London/Kendrick vs. The Pitbulls vs. James/Stevens - London and Kendrick scored the win with a rollup.

We then had a quick Elijah Burke/S. Turkay backstage promo and then a video of Batista in Manila.

Sylvan vs. Tatanka - Sylvan was super over in Montreal. He cut a quick promo in French before his match. Sylvan beat Tatanka with a leverage pin while holding the ropes. Tatanka argued with the referee after the match and Sylvan celebrated with the fans.

Main event: King Booker vs. The Undertaker - Before the match, Mr. Kennedy came down for commentary. The Undertaker beat King Booker via DQ after a belt shot to the head. King Booker then tried to leave the ring but Lashley threw him back in the ring and UT hit a choke slam and a tombstone piledriver on Booker. Mr. Kennedy didn't interfere in the match.

Miz b Tatanka and Tatanka continued fighting with the refs about being screwed

Chavo Guerrero b Matt Hardy when Gregory Helms distracted Hardy and Vickie gave Hardy a low blow

Sylvan b Jimmy Wang Yang. Quite the debut after all the build-up. Yang got a big babyface reaction and people chanted "USA" for him a lot and he looked good

Cena & Batista & Lashley b Regal & Finlay & Booker. Lashley pinned Booker with a spear. Edge showed up and laid out Cena after the match

Taping Date: 10/3/06 - Air Date: 10/6/06 - Wichita, Kansas

Rey Mysterio & Matt Hardy vs. Chavo w/Vickie & Gregory Helms - Good opening match. End came shortly after Mysterio hit a double 619 on Helms & Chavo to get the win.

Tatanka vs. Elijah Burke - Burke is not only a pretty good wrestler and can cut a promo, but he is also much more interesting than Sylvester Terkey. Burke won with interference from Terkey. Terkey beat down Tatanka following the match.

Backstage segment between Finlay, Booker, Sharmell & Regal. Booker demanded Finlay lay down for him tonight. Finlay said he won't, and asked Regal what he would do. Regal, looking flabbergasted, just walked off. Finlay reminded Booker that "...my name is Finlay, and I like to fight", before walking off leaving Booker and Sharmell mortified.

King Booker vs. Finlay - Good match. Crowd was really into Finlay with lots of Finlay chants, and then got bored out of nowhere and started a brief boring chant. The end came when Sharmell grabbed Finlay's leg, letting Booker nail him from behind, and also bringing out Little Bastard who chased Sharmell around the ring with a rat. This distracted Booker and the ref just long enough for Booker to be nailed in the head with the Shillelagh. Finlay pins the world champ for the win!

Batista vs. Lashley - Batista easily got the biggest pop of the night. Match ended in a no contest when Finlay ran out and attacked Batista. Booker then ran out and attacked Finlay. Then Lashley and Batista went at it. Then the referees & trainers got involved. Nothing could contain the mayhem until Teddy Long showed up and announced since these 4 wanted to go at it so bad he was changing the main-event of No Mercy to a Fatal Four-Way for the World Title.

Booker, Finlay & Lashley were all arguing with each other in Teddy Long's office when Batista came in and said "Hey Guys", causing them all to stop, "Can't we all just get along"? That got a big laugh out of the crowd. Batista then shook Long's hand and told him thank you. Then all 4 started arguing and Long interupted and announced a main-event tonight of Lashley & Batista vs. King Booker & Finlay. No one looked happy about that.

Sylvan vs. Jimmy Wang Yang - Yang is very over. After he made it to the ring they darkened the arena and played a backstage promo where he did his routine. This was actually one of the best matches of the night. Sylvan has really come a long way and he and Yang work really well together. Yang hit several innovative spots before losing to Sylvan, who grabbed the ropes to help pick up the victory.

Kennedy cut an incredible promo about the Undertaker from a room with a black background. One of the best promos I've seen all year on any WWE program. It's not a short promo either, they gave Kennedy a chance to really talk and build it up. It ended with him saying all the fans and other wrestlers might fall for cheap parlor tricks, which is all an exploding microphone is, but one man, one man won't and this Sunday Undertaker will never forget the name Kennedy". This promo alone is worth watching Smackdown for. It really is that good.

Ashley w/ London & Kendrick vs. Michelle McCool w/ Idol & Stevens McCool, Idol & Stevens cut a backstage promo before the match. Let's just say it was no Trish vs. Mickie or Lita, and that ended when Idol & Stevens interfered, allowing McCool to roll up Ashley with a handful of tights.

Batista & Bobby Lashely vs. Finlay & King Booker - A decent tag match that was made above average by the crowd. They were louder than any pyrotechnics when Lashley made a hot tag to Batista. Match ended in a no-contest when Regal ran down and got involved. Chaos ensues. Little Bastard gets involved, almost gets mauled by Batista, but flees the ring, leaving a staredown between Batista and Lashley to close the show.

Announced that Batista, Bobby Lashley, and Finlay will be facing off in a number one contenders match for the World Heavyweight Championship on next week's edition of Smackdown.

Ken Kennedy makes his way out and cuts a promo. He opens by saying that he's asked Teddy to move him to Raw since he's beaten all on Smackdown. However Teddy said no since he hadn't beaten Undertaker. Well at No Mercy he did just that. Kennedy said he didn't care how he won it and that all that mattered was wins and losses and he defeated Taker. However that just wasn't good enough for Teddy. Kennedy then puts his title on the line against someone he hasn't defeated on Smackdown and when he does that he's heading to Raw.

Ken Kennedy vs Chris Benoit for the United States Championship. Benoit dominated early, and then Kennedy takes over after Benoit's attempt to turn the Sharp Shooter into the Crossface backfires. Kennedy stays in control until Undertaker's music hits and he stays at the entrance way. Benoit then takes control again and wins the United States Championship at 15:42 when he gets Kennedy into the Crossface.

We are then shown the segment on Raw when Vince books the Cyber Sunday main event.

Backstage, King Booker wants Teddy Long to cancel the number 1 contenders match. Booker then says that he's Smackdown's only chance of winning at Cyber Sunday. Teddy Long then reminds King Booker that all three men hold wins over the champ, then says he's not changing his mind.

William Regal comes out and we are all reminded of what happened to him at No Mercy.

William Regal vs Vito: Basically the same match we've seen from these two before. Vito wins at 4:26 after he counters a sunset flip and sits on top of Regal.

Lashley then is shown backstage saying that he's faced adversity before and welcomes the pressure. Lashley also says he will not only become the number 1 contender, but become World Champion.

MVP makes an appearance and says he has a MVP sized problem. His problem was that there was no competition and that Teddy Long was trying to play him with the match he had at No Mercy. MVP says that he's ready for his Smackdown debut and wants something he can sink his teeth into and that will make him work up at sweat. Teddy Long then comes out and says if he wants to break a sweat, it's gonna get real hot. Kane then comes out. During this segment, crowd breaks out into a loud 'Power Rangers' chant.

Kane vs MVP: Well it wasn't a match, but more or less a glorified beatdown. The bell never rang as every time the ref would call for the bell, MVP would prevent him and 'warm up'. Kane then beats MVP down around ringside before MVP rakes Kane's eyes and bails.

John Cena at Paris Island video plays. During which Jamie Noble comes out.

Jamie Noble vs Rey Mysterio. Before the match begins, Chavo and Vickie comes out to say hi. Chavo says not for Rey to worry as they will not venture ringside. The match itself was a decent back and forth affair won by Rey Mysterio after he hits the 619, springboard legdrop combo at 4:38. Post match, Chavo says that he's at the lowest point of his career. Chavo continues by saying that as long as both Rey and Chavo are on the same brand, there will always be problems. Chavo then challenges Rey to an I-Quit match where the loser must leave. Rey says something I was unable to hear, but Vickie comes back and says that the difference between Eddie and Rey was that Eddie had balls. Rey says that he will prove what he is made of and that I-Quit is not going to come from Rey, but from Chavo.

Paul London, Brian Kendrick and Jimmy Wang Yang (with Ashley) vs KC James, Idol Stevens and Sylvan (with Michelle McCool). This match broke down early and was that way for the majority of it. Jimmy Wang Yang pins Sylvan at 3:26 after hitting a moonsault.

Cole asks Finlay, who is backstage a question. Finlay says he will be the world champion. Finlay says he will knock Lashley's teeth in and just beat down Batista.

Batista then cuts a promo saying that he is going to get what he wants and it doesn't matter what he has to go through.

Booker T and Sharmell join Michael Cole and JBL at ringside.

Bobby Lashley vs Finlay vs Batista for the number one contendership to the World Heavyweight Championship next Friday. This was about as well as it was going to be. Nothing much happened in the first half of the match, but once all three men got outside, it got interesting. Batista takes the broadcast table apart, but is taken through it with the help of Lashley and Finlay. Lashley and Finlay then fight in the ring and after Finlay hits the Celtic Cross on Lashley, Batista breaks the count up on 2. Lashley goes for a military press and is speared by Batista. Batista pins Finlay cleanly at 13:47 after Finlay hits Lashley with the stick and Batista hits the Batista Bomb on Finlay.

Post match, Batista and King Booker get involved in a stare down. King Booker gets into the ring and is beaten down, but before Booker is Batista Bombed, he bails.

MVP came out and cut a promo about Kane, leading to Kane coming to the ring for an impromptu match. Kane defeated MVP via DQ after a lowblow.

Backstage, King Booker was taping up to wrestle. Booker vs. Batista is the main event tonight.

Elijah Burke defeated Vito after Sylvester Turkay interfered.

William Regal did a promo saying he wasn't going to be Smackdown's whipping boy anymore.

Regal and the debuting David Taylor then defeated Scotty Too Hotty & Funaki.

Chavo Guerrero defeated Rey Mysterio in a Loser Leaves Smackdown I Quit Match. Good match that saw them do dives off the rampway. Mysterio ended up hung upside down from the Titantron scaffolding and Guerrero was beating his leg with a chair. Rey kept trying to hang in and not give up but finally quit.

Backstage, Matt Hardy and Gregory Helms were arguing. Helms claimed that he could beat anyone. Teddy Long ordered him to wrestle Undertaker.

The Undertaker pinned Gregory Helms with a tombstone.

Next up is a Diva Danceoff. Miz was the host. Aaron and Nick Carter were the judges. Kristal Marshall won.

Batista defeated WWE World champion King Booker by DQ. John Cena and Big Show were both at ringside scouting Booker. It ended up with Cena and Batista battling off Booker and Show. Teddy Long came out and said that he was going to try to sign a tag match for next week's Smackdown main event.

The show started with Batista coming out and wanting to call out Fit Finlay. However, he got Paul Heyman w/ his riot cops, who offered him a spot in ECW. Batista gave him the thumbs-down and beat up the riot cops, but was attacked by Big Show and then King Booker. John Cena made the save to set up the main event.

Bobby Lashley & Tatanka vs. William Regal & Dave Taylor: Pier-six finish saw Regal get a Flair Pin on Tatanka while Taylor tied up Lashley. Tatanka finally snapped and decked the ref, then laid out Lashley when he tried to intervene.

A backstage bit saw Chris Benoit attempt to talk to Vickie Guerrero. Later in the show, Chavo and Vickie came out to gloat over the win in the I Quit Match. Chavo ordered the chairshots and "I Quit" to be replayed over and over until Benoit finally came out, but Chavo and Vickie just walked away.

Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms: Another good match between these two. Hardy hit a Samoan Drop, but Helms crucifixed him out of the cover and held the ropes for the win.

Kane vs. MVP in a no-DQ match was announced, but MVP claimed he was "sick" and that his contract let him have "sick days" if he needed them. Har har. Ken Kennedy marched in to challenge Undertaker, but lo and behold, Taker wasn't there tonight, so Long conveniently made it Kane vs. Kennedy no-DQ. Kane had it won but MVP ran out and broke up a chokeslam attempt with a chairshot to the leg. Kennedy fell on top and MVP jumped on top for a dogpile-style pin.

Long announced Taker & Kane vs. Kennedy & MVP for next week.

Diva Trick-Or-Treat Battle Royal: This had Kristal, Jillian Hall, Layla, Michelle McCool, and Ashley in Halloween costumes. Miz was the special ref. Jillian, Michelle, and Ashley were eliminated in short order. Layla nearly eliminated Kristal, but Miz pulled Layla to the floor to cost her the match.

Miz and Kristal took a little too much time celebrating and gloating after the fact...and The Boogeyman made his return. Miz left Kristal for dead and she got wormed.

Cena & Batista vs. Booker & Show w/ Sharmell: Extended matchup saw Cena take a beating for most of it. However, Dissension In The Ranks reared its ugly head as Show walked out on Booker, because of the Bookend on Raw. Hot tag Batista who ran through his offense on Booker. Spinebuster, Cena came in for the Five-Knuckle Shuffle, then Batista finished Booker with the Demon Bomb

Rey Mysterio came out for Smackdown on crutches. Chavo & Vicki came out with an autographed chair that made him quit. Mysterio tried to attack but Guerrero beat him down until Benoit made the save.

Teddy Long told Batista that he was King Booker's bodyguard until Sunday because Teddy doesn't want our Smackdown champion injured going into Cyber Sunday. This led to a series of vignettes where Batista wouldn't let Booker or Sharmell out of his sight.

    London & Kendrick b Stevens & James

Undertaker & Kane b Kennedy & MVP -- First Kennedy & MVP walked out to lose via COR. Teddy Long restarted it as a no count out match. Kennedy then gave Kane a low blow right in front of the ref for a DQ. Undertaker choke slammed Kennedy and Kane choke slammed MVP, and then Undertaker pinned Kennedy after a tombstone

Miz & Kristal b Vito & Layla when Kristal pinned Layla. Boogeyman did a run-in. Miz ran away. Boogeyman then kissed Kirstal instead of shoving worms down her throat.

Gregory Helms b Jimmy Yang Wang

Bobby Lashley b Jamie Noble with the Kansas Stampede

A bunch of guys tried to attack Booker, and Batista fought them off

The Miz and an extremely reluctant Krystal Marshall made their way to the ring before the show open aired. Fridays Smackdown show will open with Boogeymans ring entrance.

The Boogeyman went to a no-contest with The Miz & Krystal Marshall in a handicap match. Horrible and short. Miz and Boogeyman had a brief brawl and Miz bailed. Krystal attempted to jump on Boogeymans back, he shook her off, and she twisted her ankle. Boogeyman then dragged her into centre ring, pulled out live worms and dribbled them on her. Then he spat in her face a second time. Miz stood in the aisleway, looking distressed. Boogeymans music played and he made his exit. Krystal freaked out big time in the ring, and Miz dragged her by the arms all the way to the back.

King Booker and Queen Sharmell were backstage with Finlay, discussing strategy for their match with Batista and Bobby Lashley later in the evening. Finlay told a cocky Booker to focus on the match.

A Rey Mysterio medical update video aired, straight from the operating room. Footage aired of him having surgery as he had his mask on whilst lying on the hospital bed, and conferring with doctors over an x-ray of his knee.

Chris Benoit defeated Tatanka via the sharpshooter. Decent match. Tatanka has changed his face paint to just a thin black band of paint across his eyes. Tatanka took control early, but Benoit recovered to hit the three German suplexes and place him in the sharpshooter for the win. After the match, Chavo Guerrero ran in and destroyed Benoits knee with a chairshot. Major crowd heat for that. Benoit was helped to the back by two referees.

Leyla came out to kill some time. The camera panned the crowd showing various fans signs, which she read out.

Teddy Long was shown talking to Kane about his upcoming match MVP. A Mr Kennedy-Undertaker recap video aired.

Mr Kennedy did a long promo backstage, explaining how he was the saviour of both sports entertainment and the WWE, and that at Survivor Series, hed be ending Undertakers career.

William Regal defeated Paul London with Ashley at ringside in easily the best match of the night. This really was a very good match that should play well on tv. These two worked extremely well together and Regal put on a real clinic. He was clearly motivated and on his game tonight. Key moment in the match saw Regal throw London over the top rope, and he accidentally landed on Ashley, who sold the bump big time. Regal didnt really play heel during this match, and received a big crowd pop for his win. After the match, Brian Kendrick ran out and consoled both London and Ashley.

Teddy Long met with Bobby Lashley backstage. Its official that Lashley is switching full time to ECW, and Long gave him his blessing, saying he can return to Smackdown anytime he likes, as the door is open. Lashley said he wanted to be ECW Champion, and thanked Long for the opportunity.

Michael Cole addressed the crowd from the ring. Of course he was booed at first. He announced hed watched a soccer game on tv on Sunday afternoon and didnt understand any of the fans chants. So he asked if there were any soccer fans in the crowd who could explain to him some of the chants he heard. They picked out three guys from the crowd, all wearing soccer shirts, and they got into the ring. Cole then asked each of them which team they followed. Two of the three said Manchester United and the third guy said Liverpool. Cole then asked each fan to sing a football chant of their choice, which they did.

Speaking of very rich men, MVP did a promo backstage, declaring how he was going to beat Kane in the streetfight tonight, and was then flying back to the U.S. on a corporate jet, to have breakfast with the American billionaire owner of Manchester United soccer club, Malcolm Glazier.

MVP defeated Kane in a Streetfight match, after Mr Kennedy interfered. This was a decent match, saved by the gimmicks and shortcuts used. They brawled all around ringside and up the ramp. The highlight of the match was MVP throwing Kane inside the telephone booth and closing the door on him, but Kane then punched straight through a gimmicked glass panel and nailed MVP. He then threw MVP inside the booth and tipped it on its side. MVP was busted open. They made their way back to the ring, and MVP recovered to get some offence in on Kane. The crowd was noticeably dead when MVP was on the offensive. Kane made a comeback and brought ringsteps into the ring. Kennedy then ran in and teamed with MVP to nail Kane in the head with the steps. MVP then picked up the pinfall win. Kennedy & MVP beat up Kane after the match, only for Undertakers music to start up and Taker ran to the ring. Kennedy bailed, and Taker and Kane double chokeslammed MVP.

After the match, MVP lay in the ring and complained on the mic about how he was busted open, wanted immediate medical attention, wanted a nurse, a doctor, a plastic surgeon. Basically he complained a lot. As he made his exit, Tony Chimel announced, Ladies and Gentlemen, show your appreciation for MVP and of course everyone booed.

Michelle McCool then came out to kill more time, and did a Kiss Cam segment.

Matt Hardy defeated Gregory Helms with the Twist of Fate.

Teddy Long met with MVP backstage and informed him hed be facing Kane in a Steel Cage match on next weeks Smackdown.

Batista met King Booker and Queen Sharmell backstage. Batista was short and blunt, telling him hes beating him up and taking his title at Survivor Series.

They pulled a rib on Tony Chimel, by having Big twinky Johnson come out and do his almost-naked stripper dance routine. They then invited fans into the ring to dance with Johnson. Nine males and one female climbed into the ring to dance with him. One of the male fans grossed everyone out by rubbing Johnsons nipples from behind. I really didnt need to see this.

Batista & Bobby Lashley defeated King Booker & Fit Finlay in the main event. Decent match. Batista was over huge and got the best crowd pop of the night. There was a cool spot where both Batista and Lashley teamed up to do a standing vertical suplex on Finlay, and as they both held Finlay upside down and in the air with one hand, they waved to the crowd with big cheesy grins on their faces with the other. Finlay and Booker worked over Lashley, including Little Bastard under the ring making an appearance, striking Lashley on the leg, before Lashley made his own comeback and hot-tagged Batista. Finish came when Batista hit Booker with a spinebuster to pick up the win.

After the show, Batista milked the crowds cheers. An angry Finlay hit both Tony Chimel and Michael Cole over the head with his shillelagh, with Cole taking a bump at the announce desk and staying down for a while. Batista chased Little Bastard to the back and did several curtain calls with the crowd cheering him on.

Steel Cage Match: MVP defeated Kane. The finish saw them battling while standing on the top rope. Kane ended up crotched and MVP scampered over the top to the floor.

They aired a video hyping the Survivor Series.

Gregory Helms defeated Jimmy Wang Yang.

Backstage, Vickie Guerrero approached Chris Benoit and wanted to know why Benoit called her lawyer. Benoit said he knew Vickie and Chavo were up to something in regards to Eddie's estate. Vickie told Benoit to stay out of her business and tried to slap him, but he grabbed her arm and stopped her.

MVP was in the back and had ice on his head. Ken Kennedy approached him and apologized for throwing him into the ring with Kane and Undertaker last week. Kennedy said this week is about being thankful and he was going to tell the Undertaker how thankful he is.

Backstage, King Booker T approached Teddy Long and said he wanted Batista to sign an agreement that if he lost at Survivor Series, he would never get another title match at King Booker.

William Regal pinned Brian Kendrick with a Shining Wizard.

Mr. Kennedy cut a long promo on The Undertaker. Undertaker appeared during the interview, leading to blood falling from the ceiling onto Kennedy.

Finlay defeated WWE United States champion Chris Benoit in a non-title match after Chavo and Vickie Guerrero came out. Chavo hit several top rope frog splashes after the match on Benoit. Match was long and really good.

Boogeyman vs. Mike the Miz - Miz walked out and Boogey wormed the referee.

In the ring, King Booker cut a promo and demanded Batista sign the agreement. Batista came out. It ended up with the table overturned and Booker laying out Batista after striking him with the royal scepter to end the show.

The show opened with Teddy Long presenting Batista to the crowd. He got a big pop. Batista began to talk about how he came back to win the title when King Booker came out and asked for his title rematch tonight. Finlay came out and said he deserved to be in the match too, so that's the main event.

MNM beat Paul London and Brian Kendrick in a non-title match with help from William Regal and Dave Taylor.

they announced The Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy in a Last Ride match and Kane vs. MVP in an Inferno match for Armageddon.

Batista beat Finlay & King Booker when Batista pinned Finlay using a Batista Bomb. Booker and Finlay will take on Batista and a partner he picks at Armageddon.

They showed Chavo and Vicki Guerrero in the back. Chavo called out Chris Benoit for a match. Vicki was wearing a neck brace because of her Survivor Series bump. Chavo then beat Chris Benoit in a non-title match.

Kristal beat Layla. They may not be able to wrestle but they are both so hot.

The last match saw Undertaker and MVP go to a no contents when Mr. Kennedy interfered and attacked Taker. As MVP left to the back, Kane came out and ran him off, letting the show go off the air with Taker and Kane in the ring together.

Smackdown began with a hearse parked near the entrance ramp. Ken Kennedy came to the ring and talked about how he had beaten the Undertaker twice and had nothing left to prove. The bells then tolled, the hearse backed up to the ring, and Undertaker got out. Kennedy ran out of the ring and escaped through the crowd as the Undertaker posed.

William Regal and Dave Taylor defeated London and Kendrick. London was outside the ring protecting Ashley when Kendrick was pinned.

Once again, we got the World Heavyweight Champion wrestling in the middle of the show next as Batista beat Finlay by disqualification. Little Bastard came out from under the ring during the match and jumped off of the top turnbuckle. Batista caught him, and I believe this is when Finlay hit Batista with the shillelagh. Then, King Booker ran out and got Finlay dq'ed as they both beat Batista down.

In the next match, Jimmy Wang Yang beat Jamie Noble for the number one contendership to the Cruiserweight title. I assume this will take place at Armageddon. Gregory Helms was commentating during this match.

Chris Benoit did a backstage interview talking about Chavo and Vickie when Vickie walked up in a neck brace and whined about Benoit knocking her off the apron. She then slapped Benoit and stormed off. When she got around the corner, Chavo was there waiting.

MVP complained to Teddy Long about being put in the Inferno Match at Armageddon against Kane. Long said he would give MVP a chance to soften Kane up next week on Smackdown, as it would be MVP and Ken Kennedy against Kane...and the Undertaker. MVP flipped out.

Chris Benoit beat Sylvan in a squash.

The Miz beat Scotty 2 Hotty in a quick match. Afterwards, Boogieman came down and beat on Miz outside the ring. He then ate worms.

The main event was Ken Kennedy vs. Kane. MVP came out and helped Kennedy beat Kane down. Undertaker's music hit and the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Kane was gone. Then the lights went out again and when they came back on, Undertaker and Kane were standing in the ring behind MVP and Kennedy

Cena's music hit to the delight of the crowd. No jeers as far as I heard unlike Summer Slam in which Edge got quite a decent response in Cena's hometown. Cena acknowledged his dad in the front row and gave him a hug. He continued to play to the hometown crowd by including some Boston references to "bahhh" and "pissahhh". He said he was there to get ready for Armageddon and would not miss SMACKDOWN! when it's in his own backyard.

Finlay, King Booker, and Sharmell came out confronting Cena in the aisle way before making their way towards the ring. Batista made the save running to Cena's aid before any physical contact was made between the two pairs.

Teddy Long's music hit and announced tonight would see and I quote "history" as WWE Champion, John Cena faces Finlay in the main event. Good opening segment

The Six Man Tag featuring London, Kendrick, and Wang Yang over Helms, Taylor and Regal was just okay. Given more time and without limitations this match could be something special, but it was just not meant to be. There was a lot more brawling and madness than I expected, with at least one mis-communication on a double team move by London and Kendrick. The crowd was into Jimmy Wang Yang which was a bizarre surprise.

Matt Hardy is still over, and Mercury uses the same entrance as Nitro and Melina on RAW. Again, what could have been a great match with no limitations and more time ended up being something decent at best. Hardy won with the Twist of Fate, with Mercury landing and freezing in an awkward position.

A hearse entered the arena to the music of the old Druids tune which prompted... The Undertaker and Kane vs. Ken Kennedy and MVP, resulting in a double countout. Usual spots with Kane hitting a top rope clotheslines, Undertaker nailing an old school on MVP, and the brothers hitting a double chokeslam. Undertaker signals for the tombstone, but whomever he had in position got out. Both teams brawled on the outside leading to the double countout. Undertaker and MVP brawled to the back. Kennedy got in the hearse and teases running over Kane but the lights go out...

Funny moment as some entrance lights were still on and I could visibly see Undertaker's figure running back into the arena. When they come back on, Undertaker is inside the car with Kennedy who turns his head in a funny moment and just stares at Kennedy, who runs off in shock. Kane sits up and laughs ridiculously in the aisle as both leave together doing the Undertaker's post-match arm raise. Crowd was really into the entire scenario and the match was decent.

Chavo Guerrero defeated Funaki. Guerrero said on the mic before the match that Chris Benoit owed Vicky Guerrero an apology for hurting her neck. Benoit came out and watched the match outside the ring. After Chavo won, Benoit attacked him and locked him in a Sharpshooter. Vicky became irate and slapped Benoit, who continued to add pressure to the move. Benoit finally releases when Vicky falls to the mat in pain sobbing. Benoit stares her down as he leaves to a great response.

Vito pinned Sylvan with a rollup in a match that didn't get over with the live crowd.

The Miz came out with Kristal. A table was set up in the ring with three platters. He proclaims he has ate crazy foods, been on Fear Factor. He says he will prove he is not afraid of the Boogeyman and his worms. The Miz also mentions a match this Sunday with the Boogeyman. He began by eating the end of a pig's tongue, proceeding to eat monkey brains. He then opened the third tray and said he would prove he could eat them and was not afraid. Finally after scooping up a handful and coming close, he backed out and said he didn't need to. He went to place the lid back on the pot of worms when Boogeyman popped out with a mouthful and Miz ran off. Boogeyman ate worms and did his dance. The crowd seemed really quiet here as well.

WWE champion John Cena pinned Finlay with the FU in a good back and forth brawl. Mid-match, Little Bastard runs out but is lifted by Cena and tossed towards the announcers booth landing on JBL. He begins to start pounding on JBL, as JBL proceeds to beat him with his cowboy hat. This was funny and the crowd loved it.
