Updating our previous story, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid just addressed the media concerning RB Jamaal Charles' injury. Reid stated Charles has been diagnosed with a strained foot and X-rays came back negative according to Reid Ferrin of KCChiefs.com.

Early fantasy football drafters and the city of Kansas City can now exhale. No word yet on when Charles will return to practice but the Chiefs will likely be cautious as Charles is the most dynamic cog in their offense.

Per Schefter, the Chiefs are "hoping for the best but bracing for the worst." Charles will likely undergo a Monday MRI to determine the full extent. Although the Chiefs may have dodged a calamity when the X-ray showed no fracture, a mid-foot sprain could keep Charles out for a significant amount of time.

Really hoping he doesn't miss any time. He's a really good back but his injury will be over soon if he can't stay healthy
