Free agent linebacker Zach Thomas, cut by the Chiefs at the end of training camp without having played in a preseason game, has filed an injury grievance against Kansas City. I was wondering why he was cut... he had 90+ tackles for us last season, at his age.. pretty damn good.
you know, at one time, teams paid injury settlements a lot more often. i think the current CBA gives teams a lot of wiggle room to get rid of an injured player without compensation because I'm seeing it happen a LOT more often.
