Free agent linebacker Zach Thomas, cut by the Chiefs at the end of training camp without having played in a preseason game, has filed an injury grievance against Kansas City. Thomas was reportedly released without an injury settlement after suffering a concussion during training camp. He's filed a grievance to try and recoup his $1 million salary.

Screw him, he never even suited up for a preseason game...why the hell should he get paid?

I was wondering why he was cut...

he had 90+ tackles for us last season, at his age.. pretty damn good.

Inc...he got cut cause he was too injured to play right off the bat.

you know, at one time, teams paid injury settlements a lot more often. i think the current CBA gives teams a lot of wiggle room to get rid of an injured player without compensation because I'm seeing it happen a LOT more often.
