According to Tom Rock on Twitter (Brandon) Jacobs said he just finished cutting drills and the knee feels good. Jacobs was plagued by a torn meniscus last year and could be ready for a full blown bounce back 2010 season, wouldn't that be nice. Ahmad Bradshaw on the other hand has just began running this week for the first time since undergoing surgeries to both feet and his right ankle. With Bradshaw's durability concerns, surgically implanted screws and horrible off season he figures to be on the lesser end in the committee attack. Now looking at this year NFL draft and the opinion that C.J. Spiller could find his way to New York the RB situation really gets muddled.
Last year the New York Giants gave up the third most points per game right behind Detroit and the Ram; I'm not sure I see things changing drastically this year which could mean another pass happy year for Eli Manning. Then again a strong run game always helps defense.. this years draft and off season moves will spell a lot out for us before the fantasy drafts, more to come.
Couple this years defensive projections with an injury plagued backfield and rookie prospects, I'm not real high on the New York Giants RB situation. As of now I'm tempering my expectations.
