Randall Cobb is still being listed on the Packers injury report as Questionable ( as of Saturday morning) which has a few fantasy owners wondering what to do with him. Jordy Nelson, on the other hand, appears to be a full go as he got in three full practices this week.
Jason Wilde on Twitter is "guessing" that Randall Cobb will not play. Wilde has very close ties to Green Bay, so there is certainly merit to his guess, but don't read too much into it just yet.
Randall Cobb put in a limited practice on Wednesday, did not practice at all on Thursday while putting another limited practice in on Friday. According to Packers.com, Randall Cobb was seen intentionally cutting on his ankle as if he was testing its strength, but provided no other details.
My personal guess is that Randall Cobb and the staff will see how his ankle responds to yestereday's practice before really deciding his game-time fate.
I personally believe he will play if all goes well today.
Nelson returns!Jordy Nelson Is a Go:
Despite the disparaging news surrounding Randall Cobb, there is some encouraging news out of Green Bay. Packers WR Jordy Nelson is expected to start this weekend in the Packers tilt with Minnesota.
Jordy Nelson put in three full practices Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and is basically 100%.
Having Jordy Nelson on the field is welcome news for fantasy owners who own him and are still competing—you can start him with confidence.
Randall Cobb—for now—is holding at 23 while Jordy Nelson moves up to 33 in my WK 17 WR Rankings. If Randall Cobb winds up not playing, both Jordy Nelson AND Greg Jennings will see an increase in their overall workload.
James Jones could also see some extra targets, though after the past few weeks, it is likely that Minnesota afford some extra attention his way in an effort to keep him bottled up.
