Can Reggie Bush Stay Healthy For One Week?
Reggie Bush's time with the Lions has been anything but healthy. In Week 1, he managed to tweak his groin and suffer an apparent dislocated thumb injury against the Vikings. In Week 2 against the Cardinals, Bush left in the first quarter after tweaking his knee. He later returned, only to re-tweak the same knee in the third quarter. This wound up rendering his fantasy value useless as he was done for the day. Bush racked up 191 total yards in Week 1, but managed a meager 12 total touches Sunday. Bush owners should have already locked up Joique Bell as Bush's handcuff. Bush should play Sunday after an MRI confirmed there is no structural damage to his left knee. But how much he plays is anyone's guess.
The Patriots Escape A Huge Scare (Or Did They?) With Danny Amendola.
During our Google+ Hangout Show, Matt Zawaski relayed news from Jay Glazer that Amendola had sustained torn abductors. Now I'm not a doctor, but that terminology creeps me out. It was initially thought that Amendola suffered a mere groin tweak in the team's win over Buffalo. A game in which Amendola gutted out 104 receiving yards off 10 catches. It's now being said that the injury isn't as bad as initially thought, but Amendola will still miss a couple weeks of action. A rumor about a sports hernia is also looming, which would knock Amendola out for much longer. Julian Edelman will be the one-man band until Rob Gronkowski comes back
Offseason Hypes Lead To Offseason Gripes
Giants RB David Wilson and Dolphins RB Lamar Miller were on the hype machine for most of the offseason and the preseason. What have they showed owners so far? Not much. Through 2 games, Wilson has carried the ball 14 times for a total of.........36 yards. WOW! His fumbling issues aren't helping either after racking up 2 through 2 games. How is Miller doing? The heir apparent to Reggie Bush's old gig got off to a rocky start in Week 1 with a total of 3 rushing yards. He did much better in Week 2 by rushing for 69 yards and a score. But I ask, which Miller will show up against the Falcons? With all the weapons Atlanta has, Miller and Miami's rushing game could be taken out quickly.
Going back to the Patriots I have to say one more thing that I know all owners would LOVE to say:
KENBRELL THOMPKINS......YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never have a seen a player who looked so good in the preseason look so awful in the regular season. Although I'd have to do some research to do so. Thompkins was the toast of the preseason. Finally it looked like Tom Brady was going to have a receiving corps he hadn't had since he had both Wes Welker and Randy Moss. Oh how wrong people were. Thompkins caught 4 passes in Week 1..................off 14 TARGETS!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could someone be that bad? Oh it gets better. For you see, whomever taught Thompkins how to play football didn't mention that when the ball comes towards you, you can actually use your arms and your body to catch it. It doesn't have to be aimed at your chest. Someone should also tell Thompkins that the playing field isn't his enemy. This guy stumbles over his own feet.
Kiddies remember this:
A player who goes undrafted in the NFL goes undrafted for a reason.
