Week 13 Fantasy Football Start Sit Advice is brought to you by Scott Pineau. Every week Scott breaks down this Week's games and picks the winning team and who he likes fantasy wise, as a solid Starter.
New Orleans at Atlanta – Thur. 8:20 pm ET
And right off the bat the fantasy goldmine of the week. Expect a high scoring affair and an absolute track meet. I look for the old cliche: the last team with the ball wins. In other words it should be like the last game between these two teams just a few weeks back. Atlanta’s only loss thus far came in New Orleans. I’m thinking the Saints sweep the Falcons. Start: Brees, Sproles, Colston, Graham, Ryan, Turner, Rodgers, Jones, White, Gonzalez
Seattle at Chicago – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
The Seahawks are having, at least by their standards, a great season. It’s a shame that looming suspensions could interrupt it. Nevertheless I expect them to give the Bears a good run for their money. Don’t look for either team to have a lot of success running the ball. Still the Bears should win. Start: Lynch (check status), Marshall
Houston at Tennessee – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
The Texans have survived two overtime games in a row, and have shown to be injury proof over the course of the season. I look for them to put up a more dominant performance this week, winning impressively. Start: Schuab, Foster, Johnson, Daniels (check status), CJ
New England at Miami – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
The Patriots have been winning games by large margins in recent weeks, but being hit with injuries and facing a tougher defense could make this a tougher contest for them. I still think they will beat a Miami team that is playing pretty well, but it could be close. Start: Brady, Welker, Hernandez
Jacksonville at Buffalo – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
Here is a meaningless game, as both teams will watch the playoffs on TV. Still it could be one of the better games to watch as these two teams can move the ball and put up points. It could be a high scoring affair. I like Buffalo, but it could go into overtime. Start: Shorts, Fitzpatrick, Spiller, Johnson
Indianapolis at Detroit – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
This will be a very competitive game. I think the Colts have a very good chance to make the playoffs. The problem is that most of their wins have been against average and poor teams. Well, the Lions are average at best, but can play on any Sunday like a great team. So it should be interesting. I’m going Lions in a squeaker. Start: Luck, Wayne, Hilton, Stafford, Leshoure, Megatron, Broyles, Pettigrew
Carolina at Kansas City – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
This is probably the worst game of the week. Nothing to see here, but the Panthers should get the win. Start: Cam, Olsen, Charles
Minnesota at Green Bay – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
Although the Vikings have been playing bad football, much of it can be chalked up to the fact that they are a team that simply lacks depth. When they are at full strength they look like a fringe playoff contender, but they are clearly not. Still, this divisional rivalry looks to be a fierce competition. Pack over Vikes, but it wont be a slam dunk. Start: AP, Rudolph, Rodgers, Jennings (check status), Cobb
San Francisco at St. Louis – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
Kaepernick has got to be the guy moving forward. Most teams’ owners would cut off their right arm to have this kind of dilemma. No matter who starts at QB for San Fran I like them to win big over the Rams, who have played well in the division. Start: Kaepernick (if he starts), Gore
Arizona at New York (Jets) – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
The Jets are probably out of the race for a wild card (not mathematically, but realistically), but they could start a little run here to make it interesting, as their schedule is easier down the stretch. Jets over Cards. Start: NO ONE
Tampa Bay at Denver – Sun. 4:05 pm ET
The Bucs are still feeling the sting of last weekend. They were close with the Falcons, and could have won that game. Still they have to move forward and face a Broncos team that is on a roll. On paper it looks like Denver should win, but I am going against the grain and calling the upset here. Bucs win in overtime. Start: Freeman, Martin, Jackson, Clark (yes, Dallas Clark, go ahead and do it), Manning, Moreno, Thomas, Decker
Pittsburgh at Baltimore – Sun. 4:25 pm ET
If Big Ben suits up this will be a good game to watch. If not, not so good a game. And my pick is as simple. If Ben plays the Steeler win in Baltimore, if not the nod goes to the Ravens. Start: Big Ben (check status), Wallace (if Ben plays), Miller, Rice
Cincinnati at San Diego – Sun. 4:25 pm ET
The Bengals are looking good recently in both passing and running the ball. The Chargers season is effectively over. I look for an entertaining game, a great deal of scoring and a Cincy win. Start: Dalton, Green-Ellis, Green, Gresham, Rivers, Mathews, Alexander
Cleveland at Oakland – Sun. 4:25 pm ET
Another case of a game that might be a decent one to watch even though both squads are doomed. I like Richardson to pound the Raiders line, and wear them down. Browns win. Start: Richardson, Meyers
Philadelphia at Dallas – Sun. 8:20pm ET
As I said before, I'm not buying the Cowboys mid-season turnaround. But the Eagles are even worse, so I expect Dallas to win this one, but it wont be pretty. Start: Vick (check status), Brown (check McCoy’s status), Romo, Bryant, Witten
New York (Giants) at Washington – Mon. 8:30 pm ET
RGIII almost pulled it out in their first meeting a few weeks ago in the Meadowlands. This time in the Capitol I expect the Skins to get the job done. This could be a very high-scoring game as injuries have forced both teams to go deep into the well to find enough players to field a team. Start: Manning, Bradshaw, Cruz, Nicks, RGIII, Morris, Garcon
