Cincinnati at Philadelphia – Thur. 8:20 pm ET
A.J. Green and company uncharacteristically dropped well thrown balls all afternoon last Sunday, effectively giving the win to Dallas. Look for them to get back on track Thursday when they face the most overpaid secondary in the NFL. Cincy by two field goals. Start: Dalton, Green-Ellis, Green, Gresham
Washington at Cleveland – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
It still hurts when I replay RGIII’s leg bending back in my mind. Regardless of who the starting QB is, I expect the Browns to win this game. The youthful mistakes of the first part of Cleveland’s season are giving way to solid play. I don’t expect a high scoring game, but rather more of a grinder. Look for a heavy dose of the running game for both teams. Start: Morris, Garcon, Richardson, Gordon
Indianapolis at Houston – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
After being embarrassed by the Patriots, I expect the Texans to have a solid bounce back campaign. Much like they did against Baltimore after being dominated by Green Bay earlier this season. It should be a shootout, but don’t expect Luck to have as much success passing the ball as Brady did on Monday night. Start: Luck, Wayne, Hilton, Schaub, Foster, Johnson
Jacksonville at Miami – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
Junk Bowl. Nothing to see here. I’m going with the Dolphins because they are slightly better than the Jags. I wouldn’t start anyone unless you have to.
Denver at Baltimore – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
It will be interesting to see how Caldwell handles the play-calling duties for the Ravens. If they can get Ray Rice going early, and then stay with the running game, then I think they have a fighting chance. But if it comes down to Flacco trying to mount a comeback, or just keep pace with Peyton, then all bets are off. The Sheriff is coming to town. Broncos by a touchdown. Start: Manning, Moreno, Thomas, Decker, Rice
Minnesota at St. Louis – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
This is no marquee matchup by any stretch of the imagination, but it might actually be a pretty good game. The Rams are an improving team. And Peterson is an absolute monster. While St. Louis will be unable to contain AP, they are very capable of exploiting the deplorable Minnesota passing game. Look for the Rams to win a squeaker. Start: AP, Jackson, Amendola (check status)
Tampa Bay at New Orleans – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
The Saints are having a rough go at it this season. And the Bucs seem to be running out of steam. Both teams are extremely inconsistent, so it’s difficult to predict a winner. I’m only going with New Orleans because they are at home. Start: Brees, Graham, Colston, Freeman, Martin, Jackson
New York (Giants) at Atlanta – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
Which Giants team will show up is the big question. History says the winning team will, but we will find out on Sunday. The Falcons are fighting to win home field advantage, and New York is just trying to win their division. I expect the Giants to win because they are a more complete team. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it swings the other way. Start: Manning, Bradshaw (check status), Cruz, Nicks, Ryan, White, Jones, Gonzales
Green Bay at Chicago – Sun. 1:00 pm ET
The battle of two very injured defenses begins. If the banged up Packers D can manage to contain the Bears’ running game and get to Cutler, then they should win this one. I don’t think that the Chicago defense will be as effective as Green Bay’s since the Packers have more weapons on the offensive side of the ball. I like Green Bay to sweep the annual series for this year and take complete control of the division. Start: Rodgers, Jennings, Cobb, Forte, Marshall
Detroit at Arizona – Sun. 4:05 pm ET
What can be said for the Cardinals offense? This will get ugly early. Stafford and Megatron owners will be salivating over this matchup. Lions by a lot. Start: Stafford, Megatron, Pettigrew (check status), and NO CARDINALS
Seattle at Buffalo – Sun. 4:05 pm ET
I think this will turn out to be an intriguing game to watch, as Spiller will get the full load against one of the league’s premier defenses. And Seattle’s suddenly dynamic offense faces a Bills defense that has improved over the last few weeks. I like the Seahawks in this one because they are better coached and better equipped to emerge in this kind of late season dogfight. Start: Wilson, Lynch, Rice, Spiller
Carolina at San Diego – Sun. 4:05 pm ET
Among the teams that are a lock to watch rather than play in any playoff games, the Panthers have seemingly not mailed it in for the season. They are actually starting to play like they have something to play for. The Chargers, although coming off of an impressive win over the Steelers, will be chasing Cam all over the field, but not getting to him. I like Carolina this week. Start: Cam, Olsen, Smith, Rivers, Alexander
Kansas City at Oakland – Sun. 4:25 pm ET
The only thing to watch here is Charles if you own him, or are a dedicated Chiefs or Raiders fan. Otherwise, move on. Flip a coin, but I’ll take the Chiefs on the road. Start: Charles, Myers
Pittsburgh at Dallas – Sun. 4:25 pm ET
I think the Cowboys won in Cincinnati more due to the colossal ineptness of the Bengals’ offense to execute their game plan than on the strength of Dallas. Look, the Cowboys defense is in rough shape from an injury standpoint. And if Dez plays he will not be 100%. Not to mention the fact that the Steelers are desperate for a victory, and are a superior team in terms of coaching and discipline. Pittsburgh wins a close one on the road, despite their own injury issues. Start: Big Ben, Wallace, Romo, Murray, Witten, Austin
San Francisco at New England – Sun. 8:20 pm ET
A very good game for Sunday night. If the Patriots roll over the Niners like they have every team over the past few weeks, then you can almost assume they will be in the Super Bowl to represent the AFC. I think the 49ers will put up a good fight, but I just don’t see how the New England machine can be stopped right now. Start: Kaepernick, Brady, Ridley, Hernandez, Welker
New York (Jets) at Tennessee – Mon. 8:30 pm ET
What a let-down of a game for MNF. For fantasy purposes, the only thing I am interested in here is CJ. I think the Jets will win this game, but there should be better ways to spend your time. Start: CJ
