Fantasy football takes all forms from re-draft leagues to keeper leagues to dynasty leagues. There are certain players that owners should want if they are in a league where they can keep players for a number of years and don’t have to worry about losing each season. Here is a list of ten players that keeper or dynasty league owners should have on their radars if they can get their hands on them.
Andrew Luck, QB- Luck is just 24 years old and has already put together two great seasons. If an owner ends up being lucky enough to see Luck available in free agency, this is someone worth taking to have that quarterback position filled for years to come.
Nick Foles, QB- Recent additions to the Eagles put Foles into a place where he likely will be putting up Pro Bowl seasons in the near future. The 2014 season could be that year and Foles is the kind of player that will be around for quite a long time.
Doug Martin, RB- Injuries derailed Martin’s season in 2013 and some owners may have given up on the Muscle Hamster. If that does happen, it opens up a great opportunity to pick up a running back that could become a star with 1,500-yard rushing seasons over and over again.
Eddie Lacy, RB- Lacy’s rookie season saw him put up nearly 1,200 rushing yards and 35 catches. A healthy Aaron Rodgers around him makes Lacy a hot commodity for fantasy owners everywhere. He is someone dynasty players are licking their chops to have.
Giovani Bernard, RB- There will be an expanded role for Bernard in Cincinnati sooner than later and locking him up on a fantasy roster would be a smart move now before it is too late. He is someone who could turn into the next PPR monster.
Cordarrelle Patterson, WR- Another rookie last season who will be even better as the years go on. The Vikings offense is still evolving but Patterson will be someone that gets more and more touches as the years go on. Get him ASAP.
Alshon Jeffery, WR- It is obvious that Jeffery has a home in Chicago alongside Brandon Marshall in the Bears’ offense. It also means that Jeffery will be someone that owners must try to get before next season begins. 89 catches in 2013 may not be the ceiling for the team’s No. 2 receiver.
Jarrett Boykin, WR- Boykin is going to be Green Bay’s No. 3 receiver next season and at just 24 years old, he is a player that is perfect for dynasty players. He only had 49 catches this past season but could easily come closer to 80-90 in 2014.
Jordan Cameron, TE- It took a while for Cameron to get his career on track but after an 80-catch year, he has become someone that owners must pay attention to. The quarterback situation in Cleveland may be hard to figure out at times but Cameron appears to be getting all the attention.
Jordan Reed, TE- If there is a tight end that could really break out in 2014, it is Reed. He got hurt last season and finished with just 45 catches but if he can stay healthy, he is someone who should find his way to 60-70 catches this coming year.
