Week 10 RB Fantasy Football Rankings

November 6, 2012 by Greg Brosh

As we chug along into the Week 10 RB Fantasy Football Rankings, there are a few backfields that are facing big question marks heading into the later half of the season. Oakland's backfield took major hits this week with both Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson hit with high-ankle sprains. Looks like Marcel Reece will be a big waiver wire pickup against the Ravens, even though McFadden has yet to be officially ruled out.

Aside from Oakland's situation, here are two more things that stuck out to me from Week 9:

Doug Martin Is A Must Start Every Week

No fantasy football running back has been as productive as Doug Martin has over the past 2 weeks. Between Week 8 and 9, Martin has accumulated a whopping 486 yards from scrimmage and 6 total touchdowns. He became only the second player in NFL history to rush for at least 250 yards and score four touchdowns in one game. Former Broncos RB Mike Anderson was the other. And this feat came right after G Carl Nicks was lost for the season. Martin figures to come down from his high sometime. But until then, I'm not telling anyone to bench him going forward. He's making a strong case for the 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Isaac Redman Made A Mess Out Of The Steelers Backfield

If you wound up taking a chance on Redman against the Giants, I commend you because many didn't. Averaging just 2.5 yards per carry going into Week 9, Redman shocked everyone by rushing 26 times for 147 yards and a touchdown. It's the best output by any running back between Redman, Jonathan Dwyer and Rashard Mendenhall this year, but it also makes the Pittsburgh backfield that much more of a fantasy hole. With Dwyer (quad) and Mendenhall (Achilles') still ailing, it's not yet certain if Redman will get another shot against the Chiefs Monday night. If both are out again, Redman makes for a nice sleeper option as the Chiefs are surrendering over 21 points a game to fantasy backs. But if it appears that either or both Mendy and Dwyer are healthy, this could be a situation to avoid.

Now lets take a look at the Week 10 RB Fantasy Football Rankings. Like every week, make sure to check out the rest of our rankings in our RANKINGS SECTION (Including IDP).

Also, make sure to check the rankings again between now and Friday to see if anyone has moved up or down due to latest news.
