Week 17 Waiver Wire Wide Receivers Pickups

December 23, 2013 by Greg Brosh

I won't be listing many receivers in this week's Week 17 Waiver Wire Wide Receivers Pickups article because a lot of them are those types of players who come out, have a pretty decent game and then disappear. This list might grow between today and tomorrow, but not by much.

Week 17 Waiver Wire Quarterbacks Pickups
Week 17 Waiver Wire Running Backs Pickups
Week 17 Waiver Wire Tight Ends Pickups

Cordarrelle Patterson - Vikings

What Patterson didn't do in the receiving game (3 catches for 8 yards) he made up for in the rushing game after racking up 54 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Patterson has come on strong over the last 3 contests after being mostly quiet for a majority of the season. The Vikings have said they wanted more of him in their offense and they've been sticking to their word. He makes for a nice flex option with some upside this week against the Lions.

Jerrel Jernigan - Giants

Making his first appearance on any of my waiver articles, Jernigan was the beneficiary of a missing Victor Cruz, who is out for the year due to knee problems. Jernigan was the only bright spot in the Giants' passing game against the Lions as Hakeem Nicks and Reuben Randle totaled 8 catches for 92 yards, with Jernigan hauling in 6 catches, 80 yards and a score. He could be a low-end flex option and definitely someone to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues for 2014. Nicks is not expected back after a very disappointing 2013.
