The Rams could wind up being this week's big rankings winner going up against the Jaguars. The Chiefs could also be in for a big day as the running game has been sputtering and now Ryan Fitzpatrick is starting over Jake Locker. For at least this week.
Savvy owners who are in need of a bye week replacement should secure Cleveland before their Thursday Night matchup with Buffalo. The Browns just held Cincinnati to just 266 total yards, and did not allow the Bengals to generate a TD. They now rank third in total defense, are sixth against the rush, and ninth versus the pass.  First-year DC Ray Horton has his unit playing very well, and they should be particularly inspired performing at home in Prime Time. Not only should Haden contain Stevie Johnson, but both C. J. Spiller and Fred Jackson are nursing injuries, with a short week to further complicate their recoveries.
The rankings were a little tougher this week.  Some solid match ups for STL and KC but after that the list gets tough.  Remember when it comes to picking your fantasy football team defense you want a couple of different things: 1. obviously you want to be going against a weak offense 2. You want to be going against an offense that has more of a tendency to turn the ball over and 3. You want your D to be playing with the lead most of the game (basically 1 and 2 combined). If you are on the fence about a D please make sure to hit me up on the message boards here or on the Sunday morning Google+ hangout.
