Welcome to the midpoint! I hope all of you are in first place looking to solidify your playoff standing. If not, and you're here to make the BIG trade and turn your season around, you're in the right place. With the injuries going around the NFL, there's a lot of good buys to be had. Come in and take a look!
Players I'm Buying
Kirk Cousins, Jared Goff
Cousins has been good but not spectacular. You can take advantage of this and get an elite QB1 for a non premium price. If you wait until after the Saints game, his price is going to skyrocket. Goff has been about in the same boat. I project his value to come up as his receivers get healthy. I don't normally advise you trade for a QB but if you really need one, these are the two to target this week.
Sony Michel, Ronald Jones
This week we've got the two rookies featuring in our article. Sony Michel was hurt last week but it isn't serious. His owners may be scared and panic trade him. If you can afford to sit him for a few weeks, grab him and wait until playoffs to unleash him. Ronald Jones is more of a gamble but with Barber nursing an injury, he could be a worthy one. With this newfound opportunity, he could runaway with the starting job.
Michael Crabtree, Tyler Boyd
Crabtree has posted double digit points all but one week in PPR. With an easy schedule coming up and a high floor, he's a perfect trade target this week to prepare for fantasy playoffs. Tyler Boyd has been a bit of a disappointment since his breakout earlier this season. A resurgence is on the way. With games on deck against TB, NO, and CLE, you can expect big things coming.
Players I'm Selling
Jaguars Running Backs, Kerryon Johnson
With word of Hyde going to Jacksonville, I want even less to do with this backfield than before. I'm trading away all pieces before trying to figure out this three headed monster. Fournette has been unhealthy all year, Yeldon has been serviceable in his absence and Hyde is an above average back. Stay Clear. Kerryon Johnson is an amazing talent.I wish Patricia could see that. He refuses to stop playing Blount even when the Lions have their first 100 yard rusher in years.
Amari Cooper, Tyrell Williams
Mid season trades almost never work out for fantasy purposes. Cooper had inconsistent hands in Oakland and will have inconsistent hands in Dallas. Find the Team that is hopeful for the change and take advantage. Get a good WR2. Tyrell Williams has been INSANE. Having said that, he's still a deep threat and can't consistently have those kinds of numbers. Take advantage of back to back big games and flip him for someone a little more consistent. Like a Crabtree.
There's many option this week to improve your team. Remember to keep trying. If you're in position to make a playoff run, start selling your depth for stars. If you're not doing so well and need to turn around your season, start a fire sale. Sell your stars for more adequate option in all spots.
