The early suggestions regarding the Chargers-Packers matchup is that backup running back Mike Tolbert could be in-line for a much heavier workload this week, which is a sale I am not buying into at all, but either way, it quietly suggests that the Chargers will continue to feature Antonio Gates in the red-zone, and they could also offer up a few more targets to him this week.
The Packers are horrible against the pass, but are very good against the run. Much of this early news could be fueled by the wonder as to whether or not Chargers QB Phillip Rivers is in fact playing through an injury—who knows.
This would cause most to figure the Chargers could run more to help alleviate Rivers' new penchant for throwing INTs, as well as, help keep the Packers' offense off the field.
But again, I am not buying into it at all.
What I am buying into is the notion that the Chargers will feature their incredibly large and physical TE against a very weak Packers coverage team.....now THAT makes sense.
Let's see who else made this week's rankings.
