Reports on Tuesday are that veteran receiver Torry Holt has signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots.
Fantasy owners should write this down, fold it up, and put it behind the picture of mom/dog/girlfriend/wife in their wallet until draft day in August, because Holt now screams late round steal.
Holt, who was in a grossly dysfunctional offense in Jacksonville last year, has an opportunity to step into the void left by Wes Welker in the Pats offense and his reliable hands will undoubtedly become a favorite for Tom Brady. While his YAC might not be incredible in 2010, his receptions should be over 85 and Randy Moss should get a boost in the vertical game because of Holt's quality route-running.
This doesn't make Holt a Number One fantasy WR, but it does make him relevant and a steal as a second or third receiver.
