The Fantasy Football Waiver Wire pickups from week 8 were good again with Steve Johnson, who just continues to score the ball week in and week out. Patrick Crayton also was a positive pick up this week with many injuries around the Chargers receiving core. Moving on to my Fantasy Football week 9 waiver wire […]
The Best Waiver Wire Picks
The waiver wire is literally the single most powerful tool you can use to dominate your league. When hitting the waiver wire your goal is simple, replace your slackers with starters. You'll be temped to hold onto your draft picks because of the investment you made. Resist the urge to hold on to dead weight. Each season we see guys rise and fall. Drop the players that are failing and pick up the guys that are rising, it's that simple.
Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4 are the most critical! During the opening weeks you'll see wide receiver battles flesh themselves out, typically at the WR2 position or slot. Running back platoons (RBBC) may change as one runner rises above the rest enough to warrant a starting position on your team. Tight ends that no one saw coming put together several strong games and become solid depth or trade bait. Lastly, quarterbacks and team defenses can be streamed. We publish the best waiver wire picks every week, see below for our most recent picks.
Waiver Wire Week 8, Donald Brown Time
My Waiver Wire pick ups from week 7 were good and consistent with Jason Avant, Marshawn Lynch and Deion Branch, with Fred Davis not starting because of Chris Cooley and the Broncos just not giving Matt Prater enough chances. In week 8, we are going to go toward a few guys that will help you […]
Waiver Wire Week 7, Deion Branch Break Through
My waiver wire pickups from week 6 were more of injured position pickups for your bench than it was for immediate fantasy success. Stay with Mike Hart, Danny Amendola, Steve Johnson and Brandon Tate the next few weeks before you make the decision to throw them away based on one week. Matt Flynn was a […]
Waiver Wire Week 6, Brandon Tate Anyone?
With my waiver wire pick ups of Kevin Kolb, Ryan Torain and Max Hall last week, if you listened to my advice you got yourself a nice little bench going forward [or even starter with Torain starting for next 4-6 weeks]. This week I am focusing more on trades and injuries, with Randy Moss off […]
Waiver Wire Week 5, Korn on the Kolb
I am just as sick of the flip-flopping as you are, but with Kolb back at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles you have to pay some attention to the situation. With Michael Vick injuring his ribs running towards the end zone on Sunday, Kolb now has his original job back and is back with some […]
