The fantasy regular season is getting dangerously close to the finish line. It’s time to shore up the ranks for right now with the week 11 streaming picks. We’ll go over some of the top picks for little owned commodities at K, D/ST and QB going into the week 11 matchups.
D/ST
TB Buccaneers
The Bucs have been up and down as a unit this year, with emphasis on DOWN. Aside from a couple of big games they have been very unreliable. Wait, did somebody say unreliable? That’s right Jay Cutler is next up on the schedule and he’s ready to hand over some points. Tampa has flourished against lesser competition this year, putting up double digit fantasy points versus the Bears and Jets. This game has streaming written all over it…because I just wrote it there.
LA Chargers
Nobody, including me, is predicting another game for the Bills like week 10. Tyrod Taylor is too consistent to put up another clunker like that. What I AM predicting is the Bills offense struggling mightily for the second week in a row. I think that they will be able to put some points on the board, but there are going to be turnovers as well. The Chargers secondary is playing over their heads and that should continue against a fractured Bills passing game. Until Tyrod gets on the same page with Jordan Matthews and Kelvin Benjamin, things will be ugly. Grab the Chargers for week 11 and enjoy.
Kicker
Connor Barth CHI
Week 11 has the Lions coming into town to face the Bears. This should be a solid game for Jordan Howard and company. The Lions are in the bottom third of the league in defending the run. While it should be easy to run on Detroit, the Bears are not ready to put up points in bunches just yet. They should move the ball well, but I think that they will see drives fizzling out. That leaves some chances for the kicker, Connor Barth. He has made 8 of 10 field goals over the past four weeks. His point totals have been respectable as well: 10, 5, 7 and 13. Barth should be a decent plug and play kicker.
Aldrick Rosas NYG
Offense has not come easily to the Giants in 2017. They are missing Odell Beckham Jr. and things have frankly been ugly. Next week they play the Chiefs and I fully expect them to get a sound drubbing. I also expect Eli Manning to do a ton of passing in the second half and the Chiefs don’t defend the pass well. That should mean several chances for Rosas to kick, whether field goals or extra points. There should be a lot of points scored in this game and Rosas should account for many scored by NY.
Quarterback
Blake Bortles JAC
For all of the Bortles hate heading into the season, Blake has not been awful. He has scored 19 points in three straight games heading into a matchup with Cleveland. The Browns have been astonishingly good at stopping the run this year. As for opposing passers, let’s say they have been less successful. Bortles should have little trouble slinging it all over the field (and over some receivers’ heads). I like Bortles to top 20 fantasy points in week 11.
Case Keenum MIN
There may be a spot for Keenum in the waiver wire column as well, but I’m not sold on him yet. Picking him up to play in week 11 is fine, the Rams are good but not great on defense. The Vikings offensive line is playing at such a high level that Keenum may have enough time to make good decisions. Having a healthy Stefon Diggs along with Adam Thielen makes things extremely difficult on the other team. I think that Keenum has one more strong showing in him.
