For the last few weeks, I haven't featured many legitimate tight ends that are worth picking up. The same can be said for this week's Week 17 Waiver Wire Tight Ends Pickups article. However, there is at least one tight end who is noteworthy and might actually be worth starting this week.

Marcedes Lewis - Jaguars
The Jags placed Cecil Shorts on injured reserve last week and he immediately underwent sports-hernia surgery. With Shorts being the only viable receiving option in the Jacksonville offense, someone had to step up. Lewis has done that quite nicely. In the last 4 games, Lewis has totaled 13 receptions, 172 receiving yards and four-straight games with a touchdown. As you can see, he isn't much of a PPR option. But without Shorts, Chad Henne has looked Lewis' way in the end zone. For those who are still looking for a tight end option, Lewis isn't the worst guy in the world. He could easily push his touchdown streak to five against the Colts.
