Fantasy Football Draft Strategies

The TLDR version goes like this, everyone else please see the articles below. Draft at least 3 running backs and 4 wide receivers before the draft is complete. Look for quarterbacks in the middle rounds then draft a tight end after you have RB, WR and QB spoken for. With your first pick a general rule of thumb that works in most leagues is to draft one of the top-5 running backs followed by one of the top-5 wide receivers. Obviously I recommend using our cheat sheets.

You MUST have a cheat sheet customized to your league settings. When you're on the clock you can't waste time fumbling for information to help guide you toward the right pick. Our cheat sheets have all the important information in a single row. I developed our cheat sheets for myself and use it to this day.

Knowledge is power and preparation is key. The articles below will help new comers and vets get one step closer to that league championship.

High Upside Middle Round Draft Targets: Non-PPR Running Backs

August 21, 2016 by Brendan Cole

Running back is probably the most hotly contested position in fantasy football. The players take a beating and get injured at a higher rate than receivers. Fantasy owners have come up with different theories and strategies to deal with the running back position. Analyzing the numbers is still the most efficient and time tested method of […]

High Upside Late-Round Draft Targets: Non-PPR Wide Receivers

August 19, 2016 by Brendan Cole

Wide receiver is a deep position and every year there are several key producers that most of us did not see coming. Finding players in the later rounds of the draft is a good way to make up for injuries or busts in the earlier rounds. My last article went over a couple of receivers […]

High Upside Mid-Round Draft Targets: Non-PPR Wide Receivers

August 18, 2016 by Brendan Cole

When it comes to non-PPR leagues, touchdowns are king. Players that rack up yardage are excellent, but they are seldom available at a discount. Volume draws lots of attention. If you concentrate on volume strictly in the red zone, however, there is some value to be exploited. Players that see a steady stream of red zone […]

3 Wide Receivers To Avoid In Early Rounds

August 14, 2016 by Brendan Cole

After scrolling through the wide receiver ADP I notice there are some trends to avoid. A few players are going at a slot/auction price that would best be avoided based on the risk that they present. As with the running back article, these are still very good players, but their perceived value is making them over […]

3 Running Backs To Avoid In Early Rounds

August 13, 2016 by Brendan Cole

Fantasy football can be an unpredictable game. Even the best team is going to end up with a bust or two throughout the season. Minimizing risk is the name of the game, especially in early rounds. There are a couple of running backs sticking out to me that are best avoided. This is not to […]
