As you probably already know the Baltimore Raven have signed Mike Wallace to a 2 year contract worth $11.5 million dollars. Joe Flacco stated via the teams website “I plan on him having a huge impact,” and “I think he’s a talented guy. He can run, he can catch, he can do a lot of things. I’m […]
Fantasy Football Draft Strategies
The TLDR version goes like this, everyone else please see the articles below. Draft at least 3 running backs and 4 wide receivers before the draft is complete. Look for quarterbacks in the middle rounds then draft a tight end after you have RB, WR and QB spoken for. With your first pick a general rule of thumb that works in most leagues is to draft one of the top-5 running backs followed by one of the top-5 wide receivers. Obviously I recommend using our cheat sheets.
You MUST have a cheat sheet customized to your league settings. When you're on the clock you can't waste time fumbling for information to help guide you toward the right pick. Our cheat sheets have all the important information in a single row. I developed our cheat sheets for myself and use it to this day.
Knowledge is power and preparation is key. The articles below will help new comers and vets get one step closer to that league championship.
Early 2016 Fantasy Football Draft Rankings
Did you draft Jordy Nelson in 2015? How about Kelvin Benjamin or one of the 30 other fantasy starters that failed us due to injury? That’s right, 30 key fantasy starters (projected) went down in 2015! That’s the most injuries to key players we’ve seen in over 4 straight seasons. I was once told to “never let pain go to waste” and I think […]
Late-Round Quarterback Steals
This article is designed to coordinate with my recent article on targeting mid-round quarterbacks. Both in terms of who you should target, and at what point of the draft you should eschew your options at running back and wide receiver in order to secure him. Late round quarterbacks are usually your backup, but you’ll want […]
Pete’s Top 5 Under Drafted Value Picks
Last week we covered the over drafted players list, or “DND” list, complete with an amazing image of Gandalf and a troll lining up to take a snap. Now, just like the wizard in white, I have returned at the turn of the tide with another list! A good way to think of the following […]
Rob Gronkowski With The #1 Pick?
Who should be the number one overall pick? A curious question entering the home stretch, the final two weeks of drafting. This week and last, I’ve examined mainly value- first, players who I felt were over-drafted, being taken well above where I think they should fall. Second, I looked at the opposite side of the coin […]
