Last week was absolutely glorious and I owe it all to our heat map. One caveat with the heat map that punched me in the eye last week. Last weeks chart pointed us toward Latavius Murray as the best RB match-up. The RB match-up produced over 190 receiving yards with 2 touchdowns, but it wasn’t Murray that did the damage. […]
Fantasy Football Rankings
We've been ranking NFL players for over 10 years. With all the time I've put into this I can only say one things for certain, consistent players are consistent. The randomness of big plays are hard to predict and therefore ranking isn't a perfect science.
What we do is rank the consistent players accordingly and then find those breakout games to move some players up, and those defensive battles to move some players down. Most of the calls I make are data driven but at times there isn't anything wrong with going with your gut.
Below you'll find our most recent rankings.
Pass Protection / Sack Ratings For Week 11
When you’re hunting for the best defense to start on your fantasy football team you’re looking for sacks and turnovers. My pass protection chart below is designed to help you identify the best offensive line vs defensive […]
Pass Defense vs Receiver Heat Map for Week 11
Here’s my pass defense vs receiver heat map for week 11. This is a great deal more in-depth than a simple CB vs WR system. With this one single chart I can (and do) pick my baseline list of players to use in our DFS optimal lineup tool. I also use my heat map and rankings when setting […]
Pass Protection / Sack Ratings Headed Into Week 10
Every week I pull down some offensive line (OL), defensive line (DL) sack stats from Football Outsiders and create these OL vs DL ratings. Well, sack ratings and pass protection ratings really. I use this to help me find team defenses to stream each week. Which is also useful when searching for cheap team defenses on FanDuel […]
Defense vs Receiver Heat Map for Week 10
For several weeks now I’ve been publishing the defense versus receiver type heat map. Much like a CB vs WR chart but with a larger representation. The heat map covers RB, TE, WR as the “receivers” and tries to paint a picture for the the WR2/3 production expectations. The goal is to highlight where an offensive may attack […]
